Star Nails — Local services in Colorado Springs

Place is nice but they had another employee sitting on the couch with her shoes off and had kids running around with no shoes and yelling, I’ve seen this a lot with nail salons I think it’s unprofessional. I asked for a manicure to make sure I would get my nails cleaned and cuticles cut before getting acrylic but no she just buffed and cut my nails without asking if I wanted them cut and then didn’t even file them so not looking forward to seeing them after I take my nails off. I tried to make it comfortable for her and me and move my hands and hold them so she can see ,but she would hold my hands and her nails would press into my fingers and just felt like she wanted to rush rather than make it comfortable. I got glitter ombré I like that she used the acrylic glitter rather than polish but one nail isn’t ombré and one nail looks like it has a crack which I’ve never seen this was right after getting them done, I do like the nails, also hate when nail places want you to get nails longer, I get that it’s easier but it feels like they won’t listen. So disappointed, I thought I found a good place but unfortunately it was only good the first time. I went to get a manicure today with my sister who got a full set of acrylics with designs. I waited for my sister for over an hour after my nails were finished and the nail tech said mine were dry so we were all good. We left and went shopping and over an hour later I looked at my nails and they were destroyed, I realized they were still wet. I went back to the salon and asked if this was normal and I was met with attitude like I had done something wrong. I asked if they could just remove the polish (as I couldn’t just continue on with my day risking getting wet nail polish all over the place) and they reluctantly agreed. I asked again if it was normal that it wasn’t dry over two hours later and they just told me I should have gotten gel, I felt like they were accusing me of trying to get free services so I just left.

Took my sister here for her first mani pedi, it was nice until this chick with a shaved head had to come at us yapping about prices when i informed them we want a different color for our ring finger with a design... yes, i understand there should be an additional charge for the decal, this isnt my first go around but an additional charge for a different color nail? Yeah ok great, wonderful.... i obviously came prepared to spend as I am able to afford the $25 tip i gave... if she hadn't started yapping about prices and this and that while we were trying to have a relaxing sisters day ...and if they didn't charge for the extra color, we were preparred to request some additional services but that turned me right off. I am a busy woman and i demand perfect service with a quiet relaxing experience but instead, i got some strange chick yapping about money and their kid running around the salon. We'll find a new place for our next sisters...
