I am conflicted writing this review because I love the nail tech I see and have gone to her for a couple years now, at least. My problem isn't with her or her services, but rather the double standards of how they run the business. Multiple times I have come in for am appointment I made ahead of time; to my understanding, they are short on trained nail techs so if someone else walks in before I arrive for my scheduled appointment and my girl is the only nail tech available, that walk-in gets put my requested nail tech and then my appointment gets pushed back. They have never apologized to me for this. Then, a few weeks ago, I called ahead to let them know I was running 10 minutes late but that I was on my way. The gal who answered the phone told me I should reschedule because my nail tech had an appointment right after. I insisted on keeping my appointment and said I would be there soon. She complied, BUT, when I got there, my girl wasn't even ready for me. She ended up getting my nails done on time for her next appointment but guess what? There was no one there waiting for her, so either her next appointment was late or there was no next appointment. Then, last week I made an appointment for a pedicure with my girl. I got there on time for my pedicure and it took them at least 15 minutes to even check in with me. I told them I was supposed to already be getting my pedicure with my requested nail tech, but looking over at her station I could see she was doing acrylics on someone else and was no where near to being done. I waited patiently and could see they were very busy. 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, they finally came to get me and told me to go sit at the nail station. No, I told them, I specifically asked twice one the phone for a pedicure and they had me down for a manicure. No apology for the extreme tardiness or mixup on their end. And finally, today when I just called to schedule my nail appointment, the guy who answered told me what time my girl was available, I said that works great, thanks. And right before he got off the phone he said, "she can do 3:30, Just make sure you are on time." SERIOUSLY?? I have spent hundreds of dollars there and referred many people to their salon. This is a terrible way to do business and hold the customer to a standard they don't even hold themselves to. I am getting fed up and seriously considering finding a new salon and not referring anyone else there. Hire more nail techs so this doesn't continue happening and apologize when you are in the wrong! So frustrating especially as a long term, loyal...
Read moreRecently moved here from the east coast and tried this salon for acrylic set and spa pedicure. Firstly, the receptionist is poorly trained and has little customer service skills besides smiling. When booking pedicure over the phone she asked what kind I wanted so naturally I ask what kind they have and she pretty much said she had no idea what each pedicure included lol. Long behold upon arriving at the salon I discovered a booklet containing extensive descriptions of what each pedicure included so not sure where the disconnect was there. Secondly, I booked an appointment days in advance and upon arriving promptly was told there was a 15 min wait. I said no problem and picked my colors, after 10 mins I told receptionist I was stepping outside to take a phone call. I ended up staying outside in front of the window for 20 more mins but checked in with receptionist twice to see if they were ready for me and she said they were not. After 30 mins I asked again if they were ready and someone finally sat me at a pedi chair. 15 mins later (so 45 min total wait) a woman came over to do my pedi.
The pedi itself was decent but nothing I would go out of my way for. After having to wait 45 mins I respectfully told the nail tech that I could no longer do my nails since I had to go somewhere and didn’t anticipate it taking so long. She said okay and took me up to the cash register where I was met by who I imagine was the owner or manager. She told me “you’ll have to come back for your nails, we couldn’t take you earlier because you were on the phone.” I’m not sure how she came to that conclusion to blame the customer for their shortcomings but it was enough for me to never return and discourage anyone else from coming here. I checked in with the receptionist several times while I was waiting and if they really were ready for me, the receptionist could have waved to me through the window, stuck her head out the door, or called me on my cell. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional service, I look forward to trying other salons...
Read moreMy mom and I came to get mani pedis just before my wedding. We are not from the area so I chose a nail salon with good reviews from google. I called around 4:20 to see if they could take us both as walk ins and was told if I could get there by 4:30 they could but if I was any later, they’d only be able to do one service. So we got in the car and sped over there.
My mom and I both had our pedicures done by two younger men. My mom’s was cut very short and mine went on for way too long. Mostly because my tech pumice-stoned my feet and ankles until they were literally bleeding despite being asked to stop multiple times. Now, less than two weeks later, my toenails are chipping and jagged and my heels are so rough they get caught on blankets because they’re so jagged. The polish looks like I’ve had it on for a month because it was applied so far from the cuticle.
My mom was supposed to get a gel manicure on her natural nails, which were very long when we arrived, with a tip on one that had broken. Her tech filed all her nails down and never put on the tip. She kept telling her tech to please stop taking so much length off and the tech just kept smiling and nodding while filing. She reminded her to put the tip on repeatedly and that never happened.
The only saving grace of our experience was Tiffany who gave me a beautiful set of acrylics for my wedding day. I will say that she definitely skipped a lot of cuticle prep and did feel rushed. But despite the rush, she paid careful attention to make my nails perfect when I told her that this was for my wedding and would be in pictures. She was very nice and gave us recommendations of what to do during our time in Colorado. My nails are still in good shape and are only just starting to lift. All in, my basic pedicure and full set of acrylics was $105 which was substantially cheaper than I’d pay at home. Not sure if that’s a reflection of the market in this area or just the establishment.
Overall, I’d recommend Tiffany but I generally would not recommend...
