I love experimenting with new foods, so I was excited when I saw this pop-up in my Google search. When I got there, I was a little concerned that their prices were too high for what the pictures were showing and the ingredients being used, but I thought heck I bet it taste amazing. I was completely wrong. There was barely enough goat on the bone to get two mouthfuls. There was a big chunk of fat that I thought would be edible, but it was so chewy. I couldn’t even break off a piece and it also taste bad. The rice is dry with zero taste, and it was served with noodles that had zero flavor and 2 cups of a spicy oily sauce. That sauce would’ve been the only flavor in the whole dish if I liked it, but I didn’t. I also got the empanada which is just bread, so for $10 that seems way overpriced. I wouldn’t go back even if they dropped their prices in half, the dish was awful. There’s no sense in even finishing the food, I will be throwing it away and it was a waste of $30.

We came across this restaurant because we were looking to try African food around the area & were super excited. The food was very flavorful & enjoyable. However, my husband’s food came out first & my plate only came out 15 minutes after. Even though the food was amazing, the service was not the best! We let the waitress know that it was our first time hoping to get an experience & explanation of the dishes. The waitress seemed to not care & rushed us to place the order. From the moment we started eating to the moment we finished, the waitress was no where to be found & did not check up on us. We waited about 20 minutes after eating until my husband had to go up to the kitchen door & ask for the check. What drew us to this place were the reviews about how great the service & the food is but it definitely did not live up to our expectations.

We recently visited Ark Cleo Rich during our trip to Colorado Springs, and it was our first time trying West African cuisine. The experience was nothing short of amazing! The owner was incredibly welcoming and recommended some dishes that were all absolutely delicious. We appreciated how they took the time to introduce us to the flavors and stories behind the dishes, making our meal even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch, the environment was clean and inviting, and overall, we had a fantastic time. We highly recommend Ark Cleo Rich to anyone looking to explore West African food. We will definitely be coming back!

Today I found another gem of a restaurant. My taste buds were in for a wild ride, and boy, did they ever get one!

The star of the show, without a doubt, was the Goat Soup. Rich, velvety, and teeming with tender chunks of goat meat, this soup was the epitome of comfort food. Each spoonful was like a warm hug on a chilly day, filling me with a sense of coziness and contentment. The flavors were expertly balanced, with a subtle richness from the goat meat, complemented by the slightest tang of tomatoes and a hint of spice. It was, in a word, sublime.

The Fufu. Ah, the Fufu! A staple of West African cuisine, this delectable dish did not disappoint. Served alongside a savory soup, the Fufu was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of firmness and give. The texture was delightfully satisfying, like a warm, fluffy cloud in my mouth. And the flavors? Absolutely divine! The subtle sweetness of the cassava and plantain blended seamlessly with the rich, meaty broth, creating a symphony of tastes that left me in awe.

The service, too, was top-notch. The staff were warm, welcoming, and passionate about their food, eager to share stories and recommendations. They took the time to explain the history and cultural significance of each dish

In short, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone with a taste for adventure and a love for African cuisine. The owners were a wonderful delightful couple with a warm heart and smiles to match. If you want to support and fabulous restaurant and veteran owned business this is the place. Thank you ArkcleoRich African Kitchen for a...

Me and my husband wanted to try something different and this place had such good reviews so we chose takeout. Honestly so glad we did.

I got the pounded yam with egusi and chicken and it was amazing. The yam was smooth, the egusi was rich and full of flavor, and the chicken was crispy on the outside but still juicy inside. Super filling, I only made it through half and had to save the rest for later.

My husband had the fried shrimp with fried yams and the side sauce that came with it deserves its own shoutout. Easily the spiciest thing we tried (and I love spice) but sooo good, I’d put it on everything. He also got the rice with beef and lettuce. I tried a bite and the rice was moist and flavorful, the lettuce added a nice crunch, and the beef was a little drier than I’m used to but still really tasty. That’s more of a preference thing though tbh.

The owner even gave us a free soup with goat meat to try (don’t know the name) and it was just as full of flavor as the other dishes, the goat was moist ..it was delicious as well. He was also just the nicest guy...answered questions, shared his favorites and what he’d recommend, and you can tell he’s proud of his food and his business. He wasn’t only making sure our order was perfect, he was checking on other customers too. Super kind, honestly deserves all the love.

Overall the food was fresh, flavorful and filling. The kind of meal that warms you up in the winter and still feels light and fresh in the summer. We’ll 100% be back (fried plantains are next on my list.. will update when i...

Arc is a hidden gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Africa to life. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an atmosphere that felt both authentic and inviting. The service was exceptional—every staff member was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the rich culinary traditions of Africa with their guests.

The menu is a delightful exploration of African cuisine, and we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes, each more impressive than the last. The yams and yucca dishes were perfectly prepared, offering a taste of the earthiness and richness that African cuisine is known for. The textures were spot on, and the subtle spices elevated the flavors without overpowering them. The chicken was tender, juicy, and marinated to perfection, leaving us wanting more with every bite. The fish, a true highlight, was fresh and flaky, with a seasoning that captured the essence of coastal Africa.

Arc’s ability to balance traditional flavors with modern presentation is truly commendable, and the wonderful service only enhanced the experience. Every dish felt like a celebration of culture and culinary artistry. If you’re looking for an authentic African dining experience with top-notch service, Arc is the place to be. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their...
