Updated 7/29/2022 This review is subject to change. I am a current student at PMI in the MLT program, and I will update this review as I continue through the course. ★★★★★ Campus The campus is located on the first floor of the building, and there is plenty of spots to relax and study with new classmates. The main office is easily accessible, and so are all the employees. Tammy always greets everyone with a smile. The building is clean, and there is plenty of parking. There is also a fancy espresso van that shows up on Wednesday mornings. ★★★★☆ Instructors PMI is a campus focused on getting student an entry level job in their pertaining field. This means that many of the instructors are people who have spent a tremendous amount of time working for a variety of companies. This allows the instructors to bring a lot of outside knowledge. ★★★★☆ Courses The courses are extemporaneous. Which is a bad thing due to the nature of the program. The programs are accelerated, so a plethora of information is being crammed into a person in a very short span of time. This means the lack of preparation can cause a whole class to suffer. The plethora of assignments can leave a student overwhelmed. The nice part though is that the instructors and staff are very receptive of feedback. If you are struggling at all, it's easy to contact anyone to receive help and guidance. ★★★★☆ Equipment I have only experienced the textbooks so far, and many of them are easy reads. The biology books did arrive late, and the scrubs are not the most comfortable. I wear scrubs at my normal job, and they are 1000 times better. Also, a laptop is recommended as much of the work is online. As I experience more of the lab equipment, I will amend this section accordingly. ★★★☆☆ Cost You might be asking if this course is worth it? I myself am doing this to enter a new career, so if you have any interest in medical lab work, then this is the course for you. Be aware though that this program comes at a pretty hefty cost of...
Read morePima teachers are amazing, they love their jobs and are always rooting for their students to succeed. Miss Shirley is an absolute god send, she is so upbeat and full of joy, she makes learning fun and exciting! Unfortunately the financial aid department is a nightmare, consisting of one woman, Ms.Steffel. I have had nothing but trouble since I toured the school with Ms.Steffel, she knows nothing about financial aid and I am not sure why she is still employed. Anytime I come to Ms.Steffel with a question she either googles the question right in front of me, says I don't know or blatantly lies to my face. I once gave Ms.Steffel a VA form she needed to verify for me to receive funds, she lied about verifying it with the VA. It wasn't until about three months later when I called the VA that I found out she never verified it. I notified the dean and she made excuses about Ms.Steffel being extremely busy. I was also told when enrolling that this was considered a full-time program by Ms. Steffel....only to find out 5 months later that this was a lie, which in turn has led me to receive hundreds less than what I was supposed to receive from the VA. I had a meeting with the dean and Ms. Steffel to explain my frustrations, Ms.Steffel wouldn't take any accountability and the dean's excuse was the Ms.Steffel hadn't been here a year yet. The meeting ended with the dean saying "What do you want me to do about it?". PIMA would be absolutely amazing if Ms.Steffel wasn't in the equation, the instructors are so supportive, the hands on learning makes me excited and ready to go into the working field. But until Ms.Steffel is no longer employed I would not recommend...
Read moreThis place is a SCAM, please stay far away from it if you value your time, money, and education. They delete their reviews. They have 2.7 stars on Yelp.
For starters it makes absolutely no sense why they charge everyone different prices for the same program. My friends and I did the MA program and we paid anywhere from $8k-$21k for the same thing! You can go to Intellitec College for less and get an extra certification out of it.
Some of the staff is racist, and while they may not use racial slurs, they definitely racially profile. The second you bring such statements to their attention you’re labeled as hostile and are considered the problem. They will try to kick you out of the school program for the dumbest reasons. Here’s the kicker, your money is non refundable.
The school director Monica is also a huge part of the problem. While I was there, numerous students would complain to her and Ms. V, about issues and concerns regarding our classroom and learning environment. All they cared to do was single us out and label us as the problem yet again.
This is place full of adults but yet they belittle you and treat you as if you are child or incompetent. There’s a bunch of unnecessary high school level drama, between staff, and staff with the students.
If I could go back in time and choose a better place to invest my time, money, and education I would 1000%. Please don’t make the same mistake I made. Do your research! Ask people that have graduated from here their experiences. Don’t be surprised when a good handful...
