I just moved to Colorado Springs and so happy I found this gym. I do best with group exercise and this was perfect! They have classes during morning afternoon and evening so I can be flexible with my schedule. The trainers are great at instructing you with correct form and keeping you motivated to push yourself. I have already learned so many new techniques and exercises I have never done before to push my body to whole new level and love it! If you want to get in shape and have great trainers to help you this is the perfect place for you. I will never go to a regular or large corporation gym ever again. It does cost more than those regular gyms BUT you get all the specialty classes INCLUDED and can just go to the gym whenever you want to do your own program. Evenings are usually more crowded but if you go in the morning or afternoon you won't have to fight over machines. Well worth the money to go here and push your fitness level up and help you feel great! Can't say enough positive things about D1- LOVE IT and is a must...

Training: I'm not sure about doing your own thing but the classes were intense and to the point. As of writing this post there were several free trial sessions (a huge plus for me so I can make sure it's a solid fit). They have enough space that you can social distance while working out.
Cost: not gonna lie, it's not cheap. At nearly the monthly cost of other gyms per week that is almost a deal breaker for me. It does come with quite a bit more interaction with trained and professional staff so it's probably worth the cost but I'm an EMT making practically minimum wage so I'll be looking in to their punch card program to see if it's something I can manage.
Overall no complaints about the staff, facility, or training style. I plan on trying out a few more sessions to see what...
Read moreThe good - great facility and my 3 kids (11, 11, 8) kids loved the "Rookie" workouts. The trainers kept it fun for all three, a swimmer, tennis player, and BJJ practitioner.
The bad - last year the previous manager apparently made deals that were not corporate approved, and subsequently, we lost money that we had paid to D1. We paid $300, ($100 for each kid) to get 8 "Rookie" sessions on punch passes. After the kids had used 3, 3, and 4 sessions respectively, the new manager stated that the previous manager had done things not approved by D1 corporate, and asked for a copy of a contract for the punch passes, which of course the previous manager hadn't provided.
So, we received only 42% of the sessions we paid for, or about $125 of the $300 we paid. I understand that sometimes employees do the wrong thing, but that is of course...
