The apartment itself is very nice, I donāt seem to have much noise issues in my apartment, but you can hear almost everything from the hallway. It wasnāt made clear that the common areas utilities will be charged to you, though Iām sure itās outlined in my lease agreement that I should have read better, itās quite unfair that you are charged for items you have no control over-lights and tvs are left on all night, and the heat is set so high, I have wound up running the AC in my apartment all November and December because my unit gets up to 78 degrees from all the ambient heat surrounding me. The rooftop patio was not open or usable for the first six months I lived here and the Hot Tub has been out of service for months now. These are amenities that are included in my high rent and the utilities associated with them should be included in that base price in my opinion, especially when my units electric and gas are less than what they are charging me for my portion of the common area electric and gas. The parking is incredibly expensive, especially when the parking garage is half full. At least one space should be included with the unit price and I would understand paying for additional spaces-even public parking in the garages off Tejon downtown isnāt $100/month, they start at $40/month. Especially after moving to a new place, I realized how special the team at The Plaza at Pikes Peak is! They are extremely on top of handling personal apartment concerns and their response rate is incredible, which seems rare at other apartments.
Keith is so friendly and made my move-in experience smooth. He always greeted me whenever I saw him in the apartment complex and I appreciated how hard he worked to make the apartment community what it was. I also really appreciated Tracey. I have never seen a property manager who was so hands-on and willing to work directly with tenants! The maintenance team is also great and they work quickly to fix any problems.
The amenities are great. I loved having a gym right downstairs with barbells, benches, dumbbells, machines, cardio equipment, etc! They have one of the best apartment gyms I've seen! I didn't see a need to buy a gym pass because of it. They also have a coffee machine, secure package lockers, firepits, grills, a pool, and a nice rooftop. I highly recommend...
