Don't go here! All the bad reviews tell you all you need to know. There's a reason they were on bar rescue...
Update: they say I threw a female to the ground, that's a funny way of saying you guys over serve your patrons and let them assault and grab on other patrons they don't even know because it's during a show and you claim it's "moshing". She literally was trying to pull me to the ground by my arm so I knocked her hands off me and she fell on her own, then when I tried getting out of the pit because I was tired of dealing with out of control drunk girl another over served patron (older male with long gray hair) started grabbing on me and literally yanking me back into the pit so I had to push him off as well and keep pushing him off me until he finally let go. GRABBING ONTO SOMEONE AND PULLING THEM IS NOT MOSHING! I was just trying to see a show but was basically getting assaulted repeatedly and your security did nothing about it until I had enough and stood up for myself then they accused me of being the problem and escorted me out instead of the people grabbing on me.
If you like drunk strangers grabbing on you while security stands by and doesn't do anything then this is the...
Read moreI was just asked to leave because "I wasn't spending any money." When broached by the gentleman down stairs about paying a cover charge. I was told it was $10 but by friend was told it "a donation of $5 or $10". I was personally invited by one of the performers to observe their set and was just patiently waiting. Due to the fact that I am paid to be at parties and to view performances, I did not want to be accused of working for free by sitting in on there performers so I mostly waited upstairs and outside. I will not say that the fact my friend and I were the only people of color in the establishment, had anything to do with it. But considering neither him or I drink, and it was cold outside, I do not understand what the problem was. There was no entry fee at the front door. The whole experience was awkward, unsettling and I would not recommend this place to my friends of color to perform. I am always one to give my flowers where they are due, but none...
Read moreIn the past this place has been a little patchy as far as consistently good music, but in the past year or so, the Triple Nickel has had some great bills, and some outstanding touring bands (including the perpetually-touring Jucifer, and the rarely-plays-east-of-California Samothrace). Price is right for shows, and they have one of the cheapest pitchers in town. I've been to a lot of shows in Colorado Springs, and the Triple Nickel is one of the best places to go - $20 usually gets me in, buys me a pitcher, and leaves me with enough scratch to buy something from one...
