Read moreI used to love coming here . Bringing my granddaughters to play and go for a walk around all the innocent chirping prairie pups. Now because some individuals that have raised a stink about prairie pups, they started gassing them to rid the park of these gent al creatures . Now they’ve stopped that and have live trapped them to relocate quite a ways away. I don’t understand how these little innocent critters are harming anything. They dig there little cities and without cattle or horses to trip into a hole why in gods name do they need to lose there homes? I guess all the party goers and concert folks that trample the green grass and litter and dump alcoholic beverages or sodas onto the park is more important than prairie dogs that are important to the eco system which is evident some knuckleheads don’t care about Yet? How sad to remove a harmless critters from a place they’ve called home until the latest bunch of transplants have invaded Colorado to change things like it was where ever they moved from to here? Being a native and raising my family here for way over 50 years it’s very insulting to change a harmless critters life for stupid greedy people that only care about...
Read moreMy family and I attended a company picnic at this park yesterday and it was a blast! My company had a bounce house set up and face painting for the kids. As well as games and other activities around the picnic area. Right across the road from the picnic there was a water park for the kids to go and splash around and cool off in with plenty of picnic tables and shade. There is also a toddler park, tennis court, volley ball area, and a skate park as well as the even bigger playground area of the park. There migbt even be more areas with other things to do but these were the only places we made it too. Everything was within walking distance but the different areas and activities were far enough apart so you don't feel over crowded or have to deal with too much noise. I have 4 kids who range in age from 4-14 and they all had a great time & have asked to go back. It's a great place...
