Holiday Hair — Attraction in Columbus

Just got back from my appointment with Linda (at Holiday Hair). Let me tell you: I am someone who is very new to the area AND extremely nervous and fussy about my hair (finding a good hair stylist is, for me, as important as finding a good doctor): Linda was absolutely perfect. She was patient, listened to exactly what I wanted/needed and .. well, she delivered spot-on. Four months ago, I had perfect platinum silver-grey-ashy highlights done at the place where I used to live. It took me ages to find someone here who actually made me feel like she knew what she was doing (Linda).

She didn't ridicule the fact that I wanted a cap-highlight (as opposed to foils), and just patiently went through the process until she hit the exact lightness and tone that I wanted. She even fixed a haircut that I had previously gotten at some other place where they had botched it.

Linda was phenomenal and I would 100% recommend her for both colouring and cutting. I went in today nervous and terrified (as someone like me would be when going to a new hair stylist) - but I came out absolutely happy and ecstatic.

UPDATE: So, I just had my second ever appointment with Linda, but this time it was for a haircut/trim. My first review above was for the stellar colour/highlight job she did. Of course, just because a stylist is excellent at colouring does not automatically mean they are great at cutting. However, in Linda's case, she delivered 100% again - this time with cutting and styling. This means I will be exclusively using her services for both colouring and cutting, from now on. As mentioned in my first review, I am new to this area (I just moved here recently), and finding a new hairdresser/stylist/colourist is just as important (and difficult) as looking for and successfully finding a good new doctor.

BEFORE I found Linda at Holiday Hair (Silver Horn Centre), I had had the unfortunate and traumatizing experience of trying out this random other place that had ended up completely butchering my hair and scalping me- essentially giving me a horrific lopsided bowl-cut which I did not ask for. So, by the time I ended up in Linda's chair, I not only needed a trim but I also needed the botch-job from the other place fixed.

Linda patiently went through the pictures I brought in of my usual preferred hair style (before that other place had ruined it) and she took the time to discuss, in detail, every part - big and small - to make sure I left with exactly what I needed.

There is a certain way that my hair has to be cut in order for it to work with my face-shape, hair texture and daily routine. Linda did not make me feel judged or rushed. So, once again, I would absolutely recommend Linda 100% - especially if you are (like I am) just very particular about how your hair...

Very disappointed. I went to get my hair styled for my homecoming dance. I asked for a simple low bun with a braid. They took almost an hour & a half for a 30 min appointment. The girl I had the appointmen with, told me she was good with up-do’s, Brittany, but when I arrived she was busy, so she handed me off to someone else named Linda. My hair was held together by about 20 bobby pins & that’s it. I looked in the mirror & it was awful. Half the hair was falling out, the braid wasn’t even a braid, she only curled half my head, & it looked absolutely nothing like the picture. By the time I got home, all the hair was out of the bun. I’m not picky about my look, but my mom & even my date agreed it looked terrible. I had to take it out & wear it in a ponytail for my senior homecoming dance....

The manager is a nasty mean bully that doesn't care about her staff or customers. She doesn't want to train anyone new and instead will complain about the terrible job they do. No duh! Maybe if you'd help out and show a newer stylist the ropes instead of pushing them around they would be better at their job! She'll schedule them 7 days a week instead of hiring more people. The only reason she even is a manager is because she's been there for so long and upper management won't do anything about her DESPITE various complaints. The other stylists in the salon are great, kind, get along, and care about customers as well as their profession. The prices are fair for what you get but staff...
