Kent is most knowledgeable when it comes to gamescience and chessex dice --he knows about when they merged in the 80s, I was disappointed when he wasn't at origins this year -even though he's got a little competition from tabletop gaming cafe -- stealing his business ,he'll remain the dictator -- for the area,in the gaming world -- he needs to post a big huge flag on the top of the building blue n white -- with a soldier on it -- so that people know we're he's nestled in behind laughing ogre- he's always got a wide variety of gaming material there -- and his staff -- including Heather -- are extremely helpful -- I heard she know has got a promotion to the DICE MANAGER -- so if you have questions about DICE -- SHEEE KKOWS -- she's the specialist-- and about her hanging flowers outside on the porch - she's also the GAURD -- of the PIZZA AND COOKIES -- on gaming events -- if u go in and try to snatch a slice -- she will BUST YOU OUT --- and they'll put you in stocks - on the wooden fence outside - for two hours -- for everyone to see -- as they drive by -- sheee is also in charge of there annual 50 percent off sale in July -- if you go up to the register to pay -- and sheees ringing you up -- just wink at her - and sing -- deeee deee deee deeee --- and she'll know what you mean ----...
Read moreThe Laughing Ogre is a local bookstore but for comics. It sells comics and comic related items, not magic cards and not board games; which is great there are other shops in the same area that do both AND it keeps the vibe of buying Magic the Gathering singles away, which is a very weird and kinda loud vibe.
Case in point: when entering the Ogre you feel compelled to hush your voice like you're going into The Book Loft or even Half Price. People are quietly reading and discussing their hobby This is not true of, say, The Soldiery next door. I say this as an avid patron of both places.

Read moreThe best LCS in Columbus. My pull is always dead-on and on time. I can stop in before work, with plenty of time to grab my weekly pull, because a staff member has my order ready, in-hand. All customers are greeted immediately upon entering.
All comics new and last week’s are organized beautifully. If you know your alphabet, you’ll find your issue quickly and easily.
I recommend signing up for a subscription/pull list. L.O. has great communication via e-mail and facebook (for those who use social).
If you don’t see something, ask. Lauren (sp?) and Gib can let you know if a recent issue is available for re-order, then drop it in your box!
Trish always has great recommendations!
