EDIT 2: Stores continue to close (Forever 21 is the latest brand casualty), no stores seem to be opening in their places, the top floor seems to be at half capacity or less, one of the elevators is now broken next to the escalators that have been broken for like a year (Seriously, does anyone working there even care?), and there's now is a scientology kiosk in the atrium, apparently. I am stopping my walks here - the only way I'd consider coming here is if Scene75 was my destination (or one of the other major brands for some reason, but they're all at most other malls). Not even my morbid curiosity about the mall's fate is enough to keep me going here. Pretty sure I know where it's going.
EDIT: On my latest walk, I saw three stores with city notices posted on them. Two of those were prohibiting those stores to operate. The broken escalators are still broken. After basically a year. I can't find a single area that has improved, many stores are closed. The mall is eerily empty. Taking off one star, this mall is continuing to collapse.
I see I rated this mall 5 stars 7 years ago. Since COVID, the mall has had about 2/3 of stores occupied at most, and the leaving major stores have given way to local stores, some of them rather quirky. Some things like escalators have been broken over multiple visits. I still like coming here to walk my daughter in her stroller since it is the closest mall, but it's not quite at it's former glory. It does have a unique attraction in Scene 75, though, which contributes to some of the mall's staying power. If you only had time to visit one mall in Columbus, though, look to...
Read more2021: Im sadden by this mall. Not sure if they care about us handicap/disabled folks or not. Its only 3pm ... Im on crutches with a boot on my leg and We entered through the food court area, walked all the way to the middle of the mall, just to walk all the way upstairs for management to tell us that they are out of "the few" wheelchairs they have. What an inconvenience!!! Now im stopping every few feet just to rest my arms because they are tired. We will visit two stores today and go home. I stopped in the middle of the mall just to sit around and see who is actually rolling around with a wheechairl. Ive been here about an hour and ive only seen one person in a wheelchair. 😢
The restrooms that are located near the food court are disgustingly dirty at all times. Always out of toilet paper, hardly any of the sinks work to wash your hands, no soap in the dispensers, and theres never enough paper towels. Theres about 15 toilets in the ladies section and the majority of the toilet bowls are always stuffed with tissue paper and the toilets dont have enough flush power. WHO CLEANS THESE RESTROOMS???
2016: If you are not a neighbor of this area make sure you bring the GPS. I enjoy the fact that the majority of stores are actually open for business...Tuttles merchandise is expensive here - but what mall doesnt put a damper on your pockets. We like the food court for the food options and space of the tables. This is a nice mall. Great for the young and old generation. Reminds me of the old City Center mall that was in...
Read moreNail Experts is the worst, you should think about getting a reputable store in there that will actually abide by the hours posted by the mall.
Horrible Customer Service skills. I showed up to get my nails filled at 8:30p thinking this would be good to get them done before this place closes at 9p. I had reviewed their online hours before making the half hour trip. It said they are open to 9pm. Apparently 9pm doesn't mean 9pm. After standing in the entrance for about 3-5 minutes without being addressed, I should told they are not taking anyone else today. Claiming they wouldn't have enough time. I told them then they need to update their online open time, as they told me they take their last appointment/walk-in at 7:45p. 7:45p people, when they close at 9p. Well, news for you Nail Experts, that isn't 9p. You may be nail Experts, but you're certainly not time experts. Trust me, I will never be back and I will tell all my friends, family, and colleagues to never give you...
