I’ll start off by saying we love Hilton hotels and always stay at one of the brand hotels. Homewood is one of our go tos when traveling with the entire family because we can get a room with multiple rooms. This Homewood was not very good. The room had several places that were bad “patch jobs”. Paint color on the walls that didn’t match the original wall color, a section of carpet that had been cut out and replaced that made a divet in the floor, curtains that were torn, the pullout mattress had holes in it where the springs were popping through and the dresser drawers wouldn’t sit on their tracks making the dresser useless. The lamp shades didn’t sit on the lamps properly so they looked crooked, I was getting one of my sons cars out from next to the bed and found a dirty sock that wasn’t ours meaning the room wasn’t cleaned properly. The breakfast was ok for a hotel breakfast, only one waffle maker and it over cooked the waffles, no beverage dispenser just small pitchers of drinks and they only put out about 10 glasses at a time. The last morning we asked the server for salsa and she said she didn’t speak English so we had to use google translate. I for sure wouldn’t suggest this Homewood to anyone especially with so many other Hilton options in the area.

I most highly recommend this hotel!!! It was an absolute delight of a place to stay the weekend, from the moment we got there Friday eve till we checked out on Monday. The room was large and clean, the bed huge and comfortable (we got their King suite) even the pull out couch bed was big, and very comfy. The staff was courteous and friendly, gave me extra towels and pillows, and their continental hot breakfast was delicious!! Plus, they dont advertise this but they give you a free dinner as well, M-thurs in the dining area there's hot plate snacks like wings, Mac n cheese bites, and loaded potato wedges. Each room also has a full sized fridge and 2 burner stove plus huge microwave, so we could eat in some nights and save money! They even include a nice set of pans, plates, cups, silverware, even a cutting board and knives! But best of all was the pool and hot tub. It's absolutely magnificent, clean and refreshing and amazing. The only issues I noticed were that the little store in the lobby was over priced and had a very poor selection, and the complimentary tooth brush was so poor quality the bristles came out in my mouth and made my gums bleed....otherwise it was great.

The staff is friendly, but this place appears to really be going downhill. I've stayed here many times over the years, but it felt quite a bit different on my most recent stay. The trash cans in the elevator lobby had bags of trash next to them, like the person that had emptied them didn't bother to take the bags away. This made the entire hallway on my floor smell like trash. Parts of the floor in my room were sticky, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a locomotive. It took over a minute to upload the photo attached to this review on the hotel WiFi. The "Premium" WiFi is unbearably slow, and completely unacceptable for the added price. In general, things just aren't as good or clean as I'd expect from a Hilton property. The rooms are in need of updating, as well. There are no outlets on the bedside tables, so you are forced to unplug other items to free up outlets to charge your devices. Only one of my tables had an outlet behind it, and while moving it I was greeted by some general filth and cracker crumbs that were never cleaned up by the staff. Basically, there are better hotels in the area.

When I arrived at Homewood Suites the digital key wasn’t working. There wasn't any parking in the front, so I parked in the back by the basketball court. There wasn't any access to the inside without a key. I went to the front desk and the reception was nice & friendly. She said oh I have a gift bag took the post it off, looked confused and said no I don't have one. I'm fine, I just want to get to my room to eat my sandwich. I had skipped breakfast and lunch trying to head back home to Tenn. By this time, I had been in the lobby 25 min. My room was not available, my food cold, and while I was tired, I hadn't reached a grumpy stage yet. When going to push the button on the elevator there was a note "Press Up for both Down and Up" Okay the down button is broken. walking on the elevator sticker residue, and more buttons broken. I get to my floor and bam the smell of weed, garlic, and curry. Go to room 314. The first thing I do is check for bugs, and cleanliness. Both beds are stained with a yellowish gold outline and the room stinks. I was too hungry to think about this, and didn't see any evidence of bugs, so I cleaned the dining table, opened my bag that had my soup and sandwich. The phone rings, after only taking one bite. The nice inexperienced front desk person asked me how the room was. I told her of the smells, stains, and the nasty floors. She offered to move me, and I agreed to finish my meal. She agreed. I ate 4 bites of my sandwich, and the phone rang, and a voice says, "are you ready to move?" I sighed and said "I'll wrap up my food and take it what is the new room number?||214 Well the grass isn't always greener they say. This room had no mattress protector on one of the beds with the golden outline from where my head would be to my waste. That's disgusting. The living room had a large red stain on the carpet, the other bedroom had Full mattress pad on a queen bed, this protector wasn't waterproof, made of poly, and cotton, and didn't cover 6" around the mattress. The grout was blackened. I wanted to scrub it, but I resisted. I disinfected the kitchen table, opened my sandwich, put my soup in the micro, and finally went to finish my sandwich. As my teeth contact the bread RING RING. “How’s your room” the young lady asked. I told her everything, and she said "the stains are on the mattress? Me "Yes, and no waterproof or any mattress protector" She said "oh I can give you a protector." Me: "No need I just need a chair to go to sleep or my truck to sleep in" I finished my sandwich, heated my soup again and ate that. I ended up going to my truck for supplies. I grabbed a box of trash bags placed over the bedding and layered towels over the bags. ||Now I felt as if I would find stains on all the mattresses with the reaction I received from the front desk. There was no use in going to another room if she checked the 2nd herself to make sure it was satisfactory. I tried to explain to her that a cotton protector that isn’t waterproof would not protect you from body fluids. She seemed to not understand. I was too tired to argue and figured if I still felt this strongly about my stay, I would write a review. I don’t want anyone to go through what I did after several long days of working. ||I had stayed at another Hilton chain the previous 4 days with minor irritating issues but nothing that disrupted my sleep! I did not know the Hilton brand had gone downhill to the point...

Dont stay here. Read fully. We stayed in room 217 one bedroom queen bed suit. Where to start? If you book through a 3rd party app they will not give you any hilton honors points and wont let you connect your honors account so you can use the benefits. The room itself was decent. The foot stool in the livingroom was missing. The queen bed is maybe a full bed definitely not a queen not super comfy we both had back aches every morning. Heat was good. The shower was good. There was a loose tile in front of the tub and all the floors creak when you walk. The sofa bed mattress is thin and you have to ask for the sheets and blanket if you intent to use it, it is not in the room. The kitchen had all we needed to be able to cook our meals so it was great. The night staff Melissa, she needs a raise and was super nice and helpful. She had great hospitality skills. Morning staff Amy was friendly she let us check out late but when we asked for honors points as compensation she couldn't do it we had to call corporate. So why give them a 1 star? Why need comped? The first night we arrived at 8pm checked in and went to bed because we had worked all day then drive there through a snow storm. The fire alarm went off in the entire building at 6:50AM. We jumped out of bed and rushed down the stairs, all a hot mess in our pjs and which I was not supposed to do as I recently had surgery. Just to find everyone in the hotel enjoying breakfast unphased by the alarm. It went off again at 7:30 while we were eating the breakfast which was not awful but not the best. The fire department had even shown up. So I asked the front desk. She said there is a faulty alarm near the kitchen area and they have to wait to get the part to fix it but no worries it will stop when breakfast is over. So this has obviously been happening. I said is it going to happen all weekend? She said she didnt know but possibly. The alarm went off 2 more times that morning until 10am. We asked for points and we were told no. we called corporate they still havent given us points when they said they would. They said someone would call but no call yet. We went to legoland. Parked in the second spot across from the main door when we returned. That night, There were kids running up and down the hall passed our room screaming until midnight or later from the pool in wet bathing suits. The next morning no fire alarm. However, it lightly snowed, at 5:50am, they were shoveling under our window with metal shovels which was just as loud as the fire alarm. We went to leave around noon we found 3 of our 4 brand new tires were flat. We had to cancel all of our plans for the rest of the holiday weekend. Had the car towed to a local shop and found the tires were slashed. We spent the rest of the day talking to police and our car insurance. The hotel said they weren't responsible. We did not get to enjoy the pool because of the vandalism. We had to leave in a rental car and go back to get our car when the insurance claim goes through. The police and hotel said this has been an issue in the area. Wish we would have known. We canceled our hotel in columbus and rebooked here because the internet said dublin was a...
