I would really like to give zero stars, but, it was not an option. New shop but same miserable volunteers. I stopped at the new shop on Saturday afternoon and was immediately yelled at by the words " the shop closes in 10 minutes". I responded that I know and that I could read the sign that was on the door. These women were ready to run even before the shop officially closed. In 30 years of volunteering, these are not the type of volunteers that I would want for a shop or for working with others. They even followed me around the store . . . On my way out, I asked why there were no handicapped parking spots and they started to laugh and mock me. I told them that there were handicapped spots for parking at the other shop and inquired why there were not any at this new shop. They did not want to answer and could not wait to get rid of me. They told me that they would talk to the landlord and just blew me off. I then inquired why they did not talk to the landlord before signing a lease and they all agreed that it was negligence on their part. They could not wait to get rid of me, but I would not leave until I left my name and phone number requesting that someone call me to address the issue of no handicapped spots alloted for their customers. They told me that I had the option of parking in the back of the shop which has no rear entrance and which appears to be unlit and at least a whole city block from the front door! They were laughing at me when I left and I AM ASKING FOR AN IN-PERSON APOLOGY FROM EACH OF THEM. It appears that these volunteers have no business experience or customer service knowledge. They never have. When you enter the store, they are so busy talking to each other that they don't even notice when you come in...unless it is close to closing time at which time they yell at you. It is not only me; refer to other comments. Their behavior on behalf of a tax-exempt 501C3 organization is pitiful, and to mock someone asking about the availability of handicapped parking is unconscionable. As noted, I left my phone number for someone to call me about such parking and I will keep this forum updated as to whether or not I...
Read moreFirst impressions are a lasting impression and upon entering the store I was greeted with a very hasty and unfriendly unwelcoming. As if their poor choice of words wasn’t enough, the attitudes and sarcasm took it over the top. Then to see another customer come on right behind me and receive the royal treatment greeting. I guess my money is no good here. Never have I felt such intentional and genuine poor customer service in all of my experiences with small businesses of Worthington, OH. I’m very disgusted by this experience! I will never come here again nor...
Read moreI love Worthington Thrift Shop. I like the size of it. I like the neatness of it. I like the ladies that volunteer their time there. I love their 2 hole punch, everything with a 2 hole punch is only $1. That is the rack I head to first. Thrift store shopping is "therapy" for me and my friends. So, yes, my friends shop at Worthington Thrift Shop too! I had the privilege of visiting today. Found me two nice dresses, $1 each. One lady met me as I was coming in and offered to sanitize my hands for my health and safety and the health and safety of...
