Double Midnight Comics (Concord) — Attraction in Concord

Set up an appointment with Paul to sell my old magic cards. Not only was he friendly and fun during the entire process, but he was honest about what my cards were worth when i really didn't know.

While it did take much longer than i thought it would be to get the transaction done (partially my fault, let someone else go ahead of my when someone else came in for their own appointment when mine was still being worked on, but the other guy had a much smaller amount of cards than i did, and partially because i did have a lot of cards to go through).

There was also a situation right before we finished where someone who was playing had a seizure. He made the right decision to put a pause on my transaction to make sure that he was taken care of and to call an ambulance. Only once things settled, did we finish up. He did apologize to me, but i assured him he made the right call, and the health and wellbeing of those in the store came first.

I had a terrible experience today! I drove a hour to see you guys. I was hoping to sell some very impressive Pokemon cards. The lady who handled my cards one , did not use any gloves and /or a place matt to protect the cards. These actions may have led to the depreciation of my cards. The cards handled were worth $50-$200 ungraded and worth significantly more PSA 10. The offer was insulting and so was the trade-in value. In all fairness it was a waste of time and money. The lady looking to buy my cards told my the story of pulling the Charzizard chase card from Brilliant stars as she glanced over at the box. That had packs listed for $10 a piece. As I cashed out my ludicrous trade in I wanted some brilliant stars packs . I asked if this was the box she pulled the chase card from and it was what felt like a deceptive answer. 3 YEAR UPDATE Ever since they moved to their newer location, the employees I have interacted with have been phenomenal! Super friendly! I even hear great things from my little cousin (she’s 11) who is just now getting into Pokémon!

OLD BELOW Good selection on MTG. Unfortunately, I am unsure if I just simply get unlucky every time I happen to go in, but one or two of the male workers is fairly unfriendly and always seems to sound and speak as if we are inconveniencing them and are unhelpful except for basic questions. The place is wonderful when they aren’t working, but considering they are frequent workers, it really downgrades my view on the location.
