I had just gone through a horrific root canal experience so far I was still under the sedation and not feeling a thing. Little did I know I would be suffering for almost a week. I left the dental office and headed to LensCrafters to see if they could provide an eye exam. That was a no- on my way back to my car I saw the mattress store and it was not too busy. My sleep expert was Riley… very professional and attentive. He was working with several tire kickers - they seem to want something the store did not have on hand. A big and tall elderly gentleman was with his son and daughter helping him decide on the type of bed. The queen size would have been just right but he finally insisted on seeing a full size because the pricing of what he saw just didn’t satisfy him and his not wanting to spend the money on something he may not use for a long time ahead. That was just a personal observation. Too bad you don’t offer a rental service for folks like that but it’s not necessarily a good financial deal for the company.
Anyway in between servicing other clients coming in I was asking about different name brands… some were brands I knew or a friend bought a set with a smart base and loves it. Eventually I decided on the bed I ended up buying. I am pretty sure Riley may have thought at first I was just tire kicking… but what I was doing in my head was the numbers ( once Riley got them for me) and which way to pay for it would work the best as I am retired and living on a fixed income that split in half when my husband passed away. But as it goes with once I made up my mind and with Riley’s total attention and patients I said I was not going to finance but pay for it. Which I did- a charge to my card then later I transferred that debt to my unsecured loan which has a very low interest rate vs my Credit card. But now I am all set and loving my bed. My neck hurts so maybe I should have gotten a different pillow but we shall see.
The movers were absolutely tops kind, professional and conscientious (wore slip ons over their shoes) great team. Riley finished of the sale by going over everything with me and handed me the print out of what all I was getting. Great discounts thank you Mattress Firm- my son after seeing my bed decided to get his new bed as well. He and his wife love the firm mattress and they live in Exeter. Ten years ago I bought them their first posturepedic from a former competitor almost in the same Concord Location they loved the brand as it gave him the sleep he wanted and no pain when getting out of bed. Now he has the base to enjoy zero gravity and other good stuff. Thank you - this was a great sale with a happy ending…I stopped at my favorite coffee shop Starbucks and took a caramel latte to enjoy on my trip home to...
Read moreI had a great experience with Jon here (next to Starbucks). Walked in, told him what I wanted for my son, and he made it easy, consulted my son (age 9, first) and made him feel valued and part of the process, and then included myself.
He explained that the item was in stock across the street and that they would help me load the mattress and tie it to my car. The positive experience ended here, but I will not hold that against Jon so I will leave his stars in tact because I know he would've followed through on that.
However, when I went to pick up the mattress (next to Aldi), the gentleman who started to support me mumbled and then abruptly/rudely/unprofessionally told me that they don't help customers tie mattresses. He was SO mad and completely unreasonable that Jon told me they would, and for no fee. I nicely pointed to my husband's wheelchair in the car, noted that I do not know how to do this, and that I was told I would have help on this end. He told me he was going to get a waiver for me to sign at the least. He came out with string and a waiver and again, was mad. He said he's not mad at me, he's mad at Jon. He forgot scissors so he went back inside. He came out, said he realized how unprofessional and inappropriate he is being and apologized, that he's had a long day, and he was really mad at Jon because that's not how things are done. He didn't tie the mattress very securely and went inside and got Brad, who was much calmer and took another moment to secure it.
After this experience, I contacted Jon to describe what happened and he was intensely apologetic. He said that it is company policy to help people and that the stores support each other regularly. Whatever the case - in all seriousness, the gentleman should have excused himself for a moment, contacted Jon at the other store, worked it out, and then come back to me calmly with the outcome. I did not need to be put in the middle and face that tone and level of negativity after I made a purchase, especially in front of my little boy.
ETA: By the way, the store manager from the other store across the street called me on 10/24, asking me to remove the negative review I left for him and offered me $100 to write a...
Read moreWhile out shopping for a new mattress, my wife and I went to several stores and saw a variety of different brands, makes & models and also met several sales people. Of all the stores we went into, I must say (and we both agree) that the absolute best experience we had was at the Mattress Firm store on 240 Loudon Road, Concord, NH. The store was very clean, neatly arranged and stocked with several prominent name mattresses. We were first greeted by salesperson “Tyler Mitchell” whose infectious smile, plus his warm and friendly personality, immediately made us feel comfortable talking with him. When we expressed our interest in buying a “high end” mattress to replace the one we had for several years, he focused his attention on that in order to narrow our search down. We found Tyler to be educated and well-versed in subject material and was able to quickly provide answers to any questions we had. He was extremely patient, helpful and not “pushy”, as we tried out several mattresses and narrowed our search down to two different brands. After we decided on the mattress that we wanted, Tyler worked out an acceptable deal and price. Although it was not our intention to purchase a mattress that day, after our experience at this Mattress Firm store, we felt comfortable that we were getting the “best buy for our buck” and bought a new mattress from them which was delivered 2 days later! I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciated the way we were treated at this store, and especially by sales person Tyler Mitchell, who actually made our mattress shopping experience enjoyable by making us feel like “family”, that he actually cared, and we were not just another sale. If you are looking for a new mattress, we would definitely recommend you check out the Mattress Firm store on 240 Loudon Road in...
