I would have given this place zero stars if it would let me. I bought a dishwasher from there 2 months ago and had to return it the same day because it wouldnt work and was broken. They have had the broken dishwasher for 2 months now. I went into the location and the sales person Lamar that sold me the defective unit was very rude and not helpful in any way. He said I had to go to the Houston warehouse to fix the issue, i asked for a reciept and he refused to give me one. So I went back to the Houston warehouse manager and she sent me pictures of a couple models and said I could go pick one out. So today I went back to the conroe location and had to deal with Lamar again. I explained to him thatI already spoke to the warehouse manager in Houston and she sent me pictures of a couple of dishwashers to pick from that were there in the Conroe store. Lamar wasnt willing to look at the pictures or read the messages from the manager stating that I was to pick up a dishwasher at the Conroe location. I suggested calling the warehouse manager and speaking to her and simply stated He would not call the warehouse and speak to them regarding anything that has to do with me or my problem. I asked him for a reciept to at least show proof of purchase and that a transaction had actually taken place, he called me a bunch of names and told me to get out. I then asked him for a refund of my money that I paid directly to him 2 months ago and he refused and said I wouldnt get a dime. So he wouldnt let me have the dishwasher that I was told to pick up, he wouldnt give me a reciept showing I paid for anything, and he laughed at me when I asked him for my money back. He proceeded to cuss and yell at me and went so far as to challenge me to a fist fight in the parking lot. He then threatened to call the police on me and I said please do because what you are doing amounts to theft. The Conroe PD shows up and issued me a trespassing warning and told me I was never allowed back on the property or I would be arrested. I asked them about my dishwasher that I paid for and they said it wasnt a police matter and to try to sue him in civil court. So now its been two months since I bought and returned the brokedn dishwasher and I have no reciept, no refund, no proof of anything, and a criminal trespassing warning. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE.    Read moreI bought the load and go whirlpool washer and dryer. When Lamar was recommending a set, he specifically recommended this one because it has a fabric softener and detergent bulk dispenser. It wasnât included when the unit was delivered. I called Lamar the next morning (Sunday) and he promised me he would have it for me the next day and that he would give me a call when it came in. Then he asked me to leave him a 5-star review, because it is the only way women feel safe enough to buy from him, by seeing a happy review from another woman.
I never heard back from him. I called him 2 days later, he told me again that he would have it the next day. Still didnât hear back, so 2 more days passed and I called again. He said he would be getting a shipment the next day (Friday.) I went to the store Friday and he said it hadnât come in yet, but he would make sure to get it taken care of before the weekend came. Again, I never heard back. That was 4 days ago. I called him today (10 days since the unit has been delivered) and he said he should have it by the end of the day. I asked if he could just refund me $25 out of the price he was paid and Iâll go buy it myself. He got defensive (and ugly in my opinion) and told me heâd call me later with the manufacturerâs number and I could deal with it myself. Side note, after leaving the store, he ran out to my truck to tell me that he was just going to go ahead and charge me for the stacking kit but they were out of stock. He didnât ask me if I wanted him to add it or if I intended to buy one myself, just took it upon himself to order it. I figured he was just trying to be helpful, it annoyed me a little bit I wrote it off and didnât say anything about it to him. I was also charged for 2 power cables even though I only requested 1 with my order. I wasnât even aware of this until the delivery man told me that he didnât understand why he charged two power cords.
The worst part of the entire experience was when he asked about my daughterâs (1 year old) hair and where the red in it came from. He then proceeded to say âthis may be an inappropriate comment, but weâre all adults here. I want a red head. Everyone has their fetish.â Or something to that effect. Needless to say the comment made me uncomfortable. I wish I had walked out as soon as he made that comment. Unfortunately I tried to overlook it and just went on with the deal.    Read moreWashing machine broke and needed a new one. Looked on Craigslist and the pickings were slim. Saw an ad for appliances and called the number. I spoke with Lamar and he made the process easy and smooth. Within minutes I had purchased a washing machine and had a scheduled delivery. He even offered to have his crew haul my old machine to the garage for me, which was very appreciated. I would recommend calling Lamar if you're in need of a new appliance and you're a fan of simplicity and efficiency. Thank you, Lamar!
Update on July 21, 2020 The washer was delivered and I LOVE it. I don't know how Lamar knew exactly what I was looking for but he surely read my mind. The drum is larger than my previous washers and the agitator is connected to the bottom of the drum, so no clothes get stuck underneath it during the spin cycle like my last 2 washers. It is much quieter too, which I am grateful for. The delivery could not have gone smoother. 2 hard working, respectful gentlemen came ready to work and (seemingly, I know they were working hard!) effortlessly hauled my old washer to the garage before installing the new one, hoses and all. They completed the job in 20 minutes!
Since that transaction was so seamless and successful I thought, why don't we ask them about their refrigerators in stock? We needed a second refrigerator with a freezer because ours is much too small for a family of 5 (only 14 cu. ft of space) and it came with our house. Today, Lamar was able to read my mind again and offered an unbelievable deal on a 21 cu. ft. Black refrigerator and scheduled delivery for tomorrow. 2 appliances in one week? This transaction was just as smooth as the first and I look forward to a long and faithful working relationship with Appliance Outlet Texas of Conroe, especially with Lamar's expertise....
