My demonstrations for my first three-day painting from life workshop at the Conroe Art League. 1) The focus of this demo was on painting different types of materials. Using reflective metallics, glass and opaque objects, I showed how I approach each of them in exactly the same way. “Still Life Study” • Oil on Linen • 12” x 12” • 2 Hours 2) This demo was all about the figure, and when painting a figure from life, drawing is key. Start with big shapes, breaking into smaller and smaller shapes.
