Brownlee Jewelers — Local services in Conroe

Unlike other jewelers in the area (Conroe and The Woodlands), Brownlee was awesome! We needed appraisals, repairs and my wedding ring resized. We had previously visited a supposedly fair and honest jeweler in The Woodlands. We left feeling that we'd been treated better at a pawn shop. After stating that my rings were beautiful and stunning, the owner offered me $1700.00 on one of the rings that had previously be valued 10k. I'm not interested in selling them but I'm not looking to get robbed either. Brownlee was able to explain to me the differences in the two diamonds grading, as well as "insurance replacement appraisals" and "FMV (private party sale). Neither of these numbers were close to The Woodlands jewelers offer. They were much higher.

The repairs, the resize and appraisals combined were 1/3 less combined, than the woodlands jewelers prices for just the appraisal!

Get the kids involved shopping for Mother's Day with a fun and educational visit to Brownlee Jewelers in Downtown Conroe! They have a love for teaching children about jewelry making, and even have a special case set up to show what the rocks look like before they're turned into jewelry. My girls were fascinated!

Owner Janice Parish has been working for Brownlee since 1981 when she walked in, knowing nothing about jewelry, and asked for a job. Mr. Brownlee hired her on the spot and eventually sent her to the Gemological Institute of America, an education she says her family could not have afforded on their own.

Perhaps this experience is what fuels her passion for teaching others the science and art behind jewelry making. I think she could be easily persuaded to start classes for kids if enough parents expressed an interest 😉

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!

I needed ruby's set in black onyx on a ring. I went to 4 jewelers in NYC and only one said they could do it. After receiving it back, the stones were 'cemented' in... they eventually fell out. While in Texas visiting family I went to 5 other jewelers for the repair. BROWNLEE was the ONLY store who would service the ring due to complexity. They were able to drill and properly set the ruby's in the black onyx!!! Something the Jewelers in NYC said was not possible. Brownlee even shipped my ring back to New York for me! THANK YOU!!!!
