My kids and I stayed at the Celedon during Spring Break ‘24. I specifically found us a condo that included beach chair service which this had. Our first full day staying here we went out on the beach early fully expecting beach chairs being first come first serve unless reserved by owners. This has always been the procedure we have experienced when staying anywhere with beach chair service. Almost all of the chairs were empty so we sat in 2 chairs with an umbrella in the front row. The attendant sat in his booth as we walked by the practically empty beach so we didn’t think anything of needing to go to the booth. After sitting in the chairs for almost an hour the attendant came out of nowhere and sat next to me. Surprised me because he didn’t speak to us as he approached or when he sat down. After we said hello he informed us that we have to move because the chairs are by reservation only and he didn’t have any vacancies on the front row. He said he only had 1 available set of chairs available on the 2nd row and we could have those. He said he had people leaving the next day and I could check in with him first thing in the morning to reserve front row chairs. So we moved to the second row on our first day even though as the day went on the front row had multiple empty sets of chairs and we over heard him say the same thing to other people who also had to move to the second row but he told us he only had 1 set even available in the second row. The next day I got up early and went down. I waited for him to get done setting up all of the chairs and to be back in his booth. I approached him friendly and said good morning. I asked if he had any available chairs in the front row today and he said no everything is reserved. I said okay shook my head smiled and started to walk off. He said “you’re (my last name) right?” And I said yes. He said “I was wrong. The chairs I told you yesterday were the wrong ones. The ones you can use are on the other side.” The guy remembered my last name and where he sat us the day before but even though he told me to come see him in the morning to reserve front row chairs he now didn’t have any available front row chairs for us. We sat up by the water in our own chairs that day. There were even more empty front row sets all day long on this day than there was the day before. We even saw and overheard new people who just arrived get to sit in the front row even though he told me he didn’t have anything available. I’m not sure why this guy was on a power trip and wouldn’t let us sit in the front row but it was absolutely ridiculous. I can only assume it’s because I didn’t offer him a tip right away to bribe him for front row chairs but I would have had a great tip at the end of our stay had just been polite and somewhat friendly at the customer service part of his job. We won’t be staying at the Celedon again thanks to their beach...

A large group rented a Banana Boat service from this company at the Edgewater Resort this past weekend. The service was $40 (billed at $44) for 15 minutes of ride time. The banana boat ride provided was only 8 minutes in length. We asked Devin, the contractor at the booking station on the beach, why the ride was so short. He stated that the ride was "approximately" 15 minutes. We said we had video and photos showing the ride was 8 minutes, and that 8 minutes is not a reasonable approximation of 15 minutes. Devin then proceeded to call me "Honey" and state that he never said 15 minutes but rather that the ride was based on mileage. He then claimed that he service was $40 for 3 miles of ride. However, in order to travel 3 nautical miles in 8 minutes, the ride would need to be executed at 22.5 knots continuously, and a banana boat is only rated to 15 knots. When I stated that the girls did not receive a 3 nautical mile trip, Devin then proceeded to point to the ocean and explain to me that the water is not land, and I simply didn't understand how it worked.

I asked to see a copy of the signed contract, and Devin refused to give it to me. I reviewed a blank copy, and it is silent regarding fees, time, and mileage, which means the oral offer is what controls. We asked Devin to provide the service paid for or to refund half the fee as we only received half the service. He refused.

I attempted to contact Edgewater management, who told me that this company is subcontracted by the resort, and anyone who would be able to help was not available over the weekend. I asked for a call back the following Monday and did not receive one.

As as result, though I rarely write reviews, I am writing this one to warn potential consumers about the fraudulent practices of this company. Buyer beware if you consider contracting a Banana Boat ride from watersportsspc.com at the Edgewater. They are happy to take your money, but they may not provide the service. If you ask for the full service to be provided, you will likely be met with contempt, gaslighting, and...

We rented a double decker pontoon 7/28/24 for a full day. The day started out fine. The young lady at the check-in window was very nice , and very attentive. We were brought to our boat almost immediately after arriving . We were shown around the boat, give. All the ends and outs as well as a map, and sent on our way. Things were going well until our first stop at one of the shell island beaches. We noticed one of the water slides was not putting out much water at all, and made it difficult to slide, but honestly, this was not that big of a deal. As the day went on, we decided to try to do more cruising and looking for dolphins , but quickly realized we would not have enough gas . The pontoons are equipped with one tank, which would not be sufficient for 8 hours of cruising around , so we felt this limited our time and options . We decided to head back early , when the steering cylinder that steers the motor broke. We were then stranded , with not much battery percentage left on our phones after taking pics and videos all day. We were able to call for help, and were picked up in a timely manner . When we arrived back at the dock, we spoke to the same young lady at the window, who still remained very understanding and polite, but as we were explaining all the issues , an elderly lady in the back became argumentative with my husband regarding the gas issue, stating “the gauges are unplugged , so they always look empty “. My husband explained that he look in the actual tank and saw the amount available, and also that we own a boat in the state we live in, so he is familiar, but she continued disagreeing in a very rude and snide manner. We inquired about compensation for the 1.5 - 2 hours we lost due to the issues/malfunction, as this was a $900 day rental , and were told the manager would be notified the following day and someone would call us back. 4 days later , we still have not heard from...

Came to PCB as a couples vacation with no plans other than hitting the beach. Someone found an ad and coupon for the Shell Island Jet Ski Tour which was 2 hours. It was $119 per rider. We all decided to drive our own - better for married co or those trying to avoid fighting on vacay lol - the $119 was better than most other tours and some weren’t even as long! We met our guide “Luke” who checked to ensure everyone had they’re life vests and gave a fun, quick and informative safety lesson/tutorial for thosewho weren’t famil With that we were off. The first 5 minutes or so was slow- as to be expected near marinas and such in a NO Wake zone. After that - we were off. These jet skis are governed at around 45 - which was fine, especially with a bunch of tourists who are looking for dolphins and fun. We did come across a pod of dolphins and we all let them be and watched as they calmly slipped amongst us popping in and out of the water. About 10 minutes later we seen a 4-5 foot shark! We stopped at Shell Island. Landing the jet skis literally on the beach. We were given about 20-30 minutes to meander on the beach or in the water. It was beautiful - the fun, weather, the water. That’s what we came for and this tour delivered. Luke gave us some background on the island and swam around with us. He offered to take some group photos as well. We then headed back in. Can’t say enough great things about this whole operation, but especially our guide Luke. He was the cherry on top! Tips: There is a small dry space cubby on the jet ski. Bring a bottle of water, sunblock, sandals, sunglasses and a towel. If you wear glasses or have something nicer than gas station sunglasses - wear one of those straps to keep them on ur head. Expect to hit waves - more speed keeps things smooth.
