This mall is within a mile or two right off the I-95 exit. There are plenty of stores and a food court. You will get a bunch of steps walking through several “neighborhoods”. I believe there is a morning walking group on weekdays. For an outlet mall, I don’t find the prices to be much of a savings. Also, i live within walking distance and rarely visit mainly because of the crowds. I avoid Saturdays at all costs, because parking is limited and surrounding traffic. If anything, i order online and pickup or return to the store during the week. There is a mid mall customer service by the food court where you can purchase mall gift cards. This mall used to receive busloads of weekend shoppers and stores have been replaced over the years. Some stores like Ikea left the mall and got their own spot The mall has been updated and revitalized over and over again. The AMC movie theatre used to be accessible from the mall years ago now it has its own entrance. There is ample parking surrounding the mall, candy store, mid aisle vendor, massage center, and restaurants: Cheesecake Factory, Bahama Breeze, Matchbox Pizza, and fast food joints Burger King and McDonald’s in walking distance. There is a tesla charging station at the edge of the parking lot. My teens enjoy hanging out with their friends here. Very few attendants over the years. There are two lines for premiere customers and visitors. We have MoviePass. This monthly subscription allows up to 3 movie showings a week. We may see 1/week or 2-3/month. Prices have gone up and there are hot and cold concession offerings. There are plenty of soda and icee machines on both sides of the theatre. There is a video gaming corner, a bar to serve alcohol and security guards onsite. 1 Dolby theatre and small other large theatres. We take our nephews to see the kiddie movies. Can purchase tickets and express concessions online and set a pickup time to sync with movie showing to avoid any lines. Just arrive and show your movie ticket that will be scanned by the attendant who will state your theatre number and location. Sometimes there is no attendant and you have to go to the attendant at the desk. There is a walk up window on the outside if you hadn’t pre-purchased tickets. You can now select seating location to reserve your seats on screen.

The girls enjoyed their back to school shopping. I was particularly impressed by one particular store "ESTELLE" Advanced Ageless Beauty. I was walking around with my little girl and one man (You Will see him in the video, just forget his name) called my attention and gave me samples of "SUPREME" Skin Minerals Eye Care. I was interested on it but I decided to go in an take a look in the store. On entering the store, we were warmly welcome by the attendant, Aishrat. Aishrat asked if we would like to wash our hands. My little girl had once has this experience with her mom and so was so quick to answer yes, yes please. I was just confused because I did know what was going on. She asked us to opened our palms and she poured out a little drop of the TREASURE RARE Magestical exfoliating body scrub. The magic this did to my palm was unexplainable in writing. After the whole process, the applied the hand cream/lotion. My hands were a total new being on their own 🤣🤣. Being the person I am, I decided to do a video for them to show people their amazing work. So if you hand dry skin or hard palm like mine. Lol🤣🤣. Please visit them any time you visit this mall and you will thank me later. I wish Google would have allowed a voiced on the video. But don't worry, I message is already written. The video was just to let show you the place and product. Thank you, Aishrat and team for a great experience. I will surely visit again some day.

As an A lister and movie fan and buff, I will say that this is by and far the absolute worst theatre I have been to in a long time. This place was filthy, I mean pigsty level disgusting. Clearly no one cared to even do their job when it came to cleaning each theatre room, there was trash literally everywhere, spilt drinks and popcorn leftover from most of the other showings. Trash cans were overflowing, for Pete’s sake what happened to dust brooms. Spot clean ups nowhere to be found. Restrooms were equally disgusting. The lack of regard for this business and this AMC Theatre was evident in everything visible. The staff here were a complete joke. Again, I have never seen this ever in any AMC or for that matter Regal cinema. I will be filing a complaint with corporate first thing in the morning. Avoid this place unless you like have things stick to your shoes or on your clothes. I saw so many health code violations that it made my head spin. AMC Potomac Mills management, you need to retrain your entire staff and also seek retraining for you lack of leadership. Just look at the images and tell me this is something you would honestly pay for and be happy afterwards with or for that matter recommend that anyone else go.

This theater is mismanaged. We often suffer through movies with babies crying endlessly and management does nothing. Bathrooms run out of toilet paper and management does nothing. Trashcans overflow and management does nothing. When the ticket machines used to print tickets bought online stop working management does nothing, and long lines of customers have to warn each other as they attempt to use the machines and fail. Seems like they would have "Machine Out of Order" signs pre-printed by now, it happens so often. So management has plenty to do that is not being done. Yet when our 17 year old daughter, who will be 18 in two weeks, went to a the R-Rated movie Nightcrawler, with her school photo ID AND a copy of her birth certificate (this is the only ID she has), she was not allowed to buy a ticket. My husband, who had dropped her off at the movie, turned the car around, went back, and talked to Manager Kathy Jameson. Kathy would not even look at the two forms of ID presented, and refused to allow our daughter to buy a ticket. I called and talked to Kathy, and she directed me to AMC's website, which she said was very clear. It's not. The theater's website says, "Show us your picture. We'll show you ours." "For R-Rated Films: Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian (age 21 or older) and 25 years and under must show ID." That's pretty vague. Yet Kathy Jameson told my husband, my daughter, and then me, that the ID presented must be in the form of one government issued ID with the photo and date of birth. That's a good rule; but management should be able to make intelligent decisions, and when presented with the same document (the birth certificate) that would be required to get a government issued ID, along with the school photo ID, and a parent present, it should be easy for management to see that the person really is over 17, and allow her to buy a ticket. A good manager would make the exception, and perhaps advise the person to get a government issued ID of some kind, rather than ruin the evening for a customer. In the end, my husband had to stay and attend the movie, so that our daughter's experience would be pleasant. Bottom line, the management of this theater is not doing what needs to be done to ensure that customers have a good experience. If you have another option, it may be...

I can say with confidence that the AMC at Potomac Mills is one of the best cinematic experiences around. This expansive, state-of-the-art theater offers everything a movie lover could want, from an impressive selection of the latest blockbusters to a comfortable and enjoyable viewing environment.

One of the standout features of this AMC location is the sheer size and scale of the operation. With over 20 screens, it's able to accommodate a wide variety of film genres and showtimes, ensuring that there's always something playing that caters to your cinematic tastes. Whether you're in the mood for the latest superhero epic, a thought-provoking indie film, or a classic movie from the archives, the Potomac Mills AMC has you covered.

But it's not just the selection that impresses - the quality of the theater itself is truly top-notch. The auditoriums feature plush, reclining seats that provide optimal comfort and immersion, while the crisp, high-definition picture and booming surround sound create an unparalleled viewing experience. I've found myself truly captivated by the on-screen action, completely transported to the world of the film.

Beyond the core movie-watching amenities, the Potomac Mills AMC also offers a robust selection of concessions, including the standard popcorn and soda, as well as more gourmet offerings like premium cocktails and delectable food items. The staff is always friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience from start to finish.

What really sets this AMC location apart, though, is the commitment to creating a sense of community and camaraderie among its patrons. The theater frequently hosts special events, movie marathons, and other programming that brings together film enthusiasts, fostering a shared appreciation for the art of cinema.

In a world where streaming has become the norm, the Potomac Mills AMC remains a shining beacon for those who still value the magic of the big-screen experience. With its unparalleled facilities, diverse programming, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, it's a true gem in the Northern Virginia entertainment landscape. Whether you're a die-hard movie buff or simply looking for a fun night out, I highly recommend making a trip to this fantastic...
