Breeza Beachwear — Attraction in Shallotte

Met the most prejudice clerks Kim and L(auren)(?) in Holden Beach today. Didn't seem to like that we chose to shop here. Were extremely short when we said hello, short when we asked pricing/restroom/direction questions but insisted on following us around the store like we intended on stealing. Final straw was Kim yelling at my 10 year old niece for carrying a skateboard over to her mom to ask her about a possible Christmas purchase. Kim said store policy is nothing is to leave it's designated section unless you are purchasing it. We explained we are considering purchasing with parent's approval, she insisted we don't need to walk around the store unless we plan on purchasing something. We put the skateboard back to accommodate. Kim then started getting on to other kids in our group(7-13) for touching toys and yelled at them for carrying stuff around the store. We explained they are purchasing the toys they picked and have their own money from their own jobs to pay for it. From here is where the issue showed itself. It became apparent at this point that they were not willing to accommodate our patience. At this point they were rude and argumentative for no reason. At this point we asked for their manager or complaint information. They said they are corporate so, "call whatever google gives you". We looked up number, called and it's their store number. Spend your money elsewhere, go to Lighthouse Gifts for better and more affordable tshirts, local souvenirs and Beach Mart for anything else...

Their final sale umbrellas are a scam. I bought one, and an hour after I bought it I took it out for the first time and it was broken. Even though the lady at the counter took it out to look at it because “the manufacturers mess them up sometimes” - so they know they are often broken and should have mentioned that or put it all the way together - I called and explained that even though she took it out she didn’t put it together so couldn’t have known that the latch that keeps the top piece in was broken. On the register there is a sign that says they do exchanges. I didn’t ask for my money back, I asked for a working umbrella since the one I literally brought brand new an hour ago was damaged. She told me she would exchange it, then when I couldn’t be there in time before she left, she changed her mind and said that she actually...

Horrible!!! Was treated so rudely! Went in for a bathing suit today October 11. When I finally found the girl she didn’t want to even talk to me. She told me they didn’t have any suits. I asked about the ones hanging in the window with tags and she said they weren’t for sale. When I asked where in Holden I might find suits she rudely told me nowhere, that all suits were put away for inventory the next year. Went to islanders across the street and found hundreds of suits with very helpful polite employees. Have gone to wings in Holden for years and never have experienced this. I had never even gone to another beachwear store. From now on my family and friends will...
