Great Wall — Restaurant in North Carolina

Family stayed in Holden Beach for Thanksgiving 2017, and for a break from junk food and turkey, we wanted Chinese takeout. Was a bit concerned over the reviews here, but Shallotte only had buffets, and the reviews were similar. So, we sprang for it. Family of 4 ate for $26. The kids you read about are of the age that kids start getting jobs; the boys voices have changed, and we had no concerns about them swiping our cards. They got our order right. We ordered Sesame Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, and Chicken with Broccoli. This is not the saltiest Chinese food you'll ever eat, but it wasn't bland. The rice was not crunchy, but perfect. Don't forget to pick up soy sauce and duck sauce on your way out of the restaurant. They were quick, efficient. They did not have Paula Deen's hospitality, but as someone who gets Chinese takeout back home several times a month, this place does not deserve all the negative reviews. Don't. I never rate places unless it was amazing. I've never left a bad rating before. I would have complained but it wouldn't have done me any good. I threw it away. I've never had sesame chicken that was covered in sweet and sour sauce. So take into consideration that I am not the only one who mentioned they don't seem to know any difference or don't care to save money. I asked for fried rice and I recieve white rice. They were very fast and that's the only reason I put 2 stars or it would be 1. I hate to do it but this is my favorite food and it made me not want to eat it again. It reminded me of a all you can eat buffet type of meal. Something super cheap and you can easily make a lot of. The quality is too low. My family and I was not wanting a big meal and we decided to go to Great Wall beside of Food Lion. When we walked in we were not greeted by the workers they just looked at us. We gave them our order and waited outside on our food. We took the food home and I ordered scallion chicken. My plate was not scallion chicken it was small pieces of boiled chicken with onions and scallion onions swimming in juice. When i arrived back to tell the lady what was wrong with my plate. She got an attitude when I came back and when she was talking to me she started raising her voice. I told the lady that I was not deaf and she did not have to yell. I ended up getting house fried rice and the rice tasted like it had been sitting there since start of the day. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. ...
