Calico Yacht Charter — Attraction in Santa Monica

We had an amazing time on this yacht from beginning to end!!!

The Calico team was very responsive, accommodating, clear and honest during the booking process. We wanted to be certain that things were organized because we chartered their 50' yacht with 10 kids for my son's 11th birthday party. They were open and welcomed us with whatever we needed during the booking process.

The boarding process was so very simple, especially with 10 drop offs, we could do it nearby with just a 3 minute walk to the dock! Done.

The yacht is exactly as advertised and more. Very clean, in great condition and with a little kitchen that's fully stocked to prepare any foods. There was a lot of little nooks, shelves, cubbies and corners to store bags of our birthday guests no problem and still feel like there was organized, clean space to use.

The Captain and first mate were stellar. I was concerned that they would be very strict and overwhelmed with 10 kids on board, but it was the exact opposite. They treated our group with a sense of professional respect, kindness, hospitality, trust and fun. Because we were treated with such since respect, it made the kids feel like special guests and not in a classroom.

I brought my own dj decks and some battery powered PA speakers and we played music the whole journey. We dropped anchor just off the Santa Monica boardwalk and went for a refreshing dip in the ocean with the provided SUP and floating island. The captain and first mate kept close watch on the kids along with us adults to make sure everyone was safe. The whole journey just kept getting better and better, nobody wanted it to end.

We will DEFINITELY book with Calico and hopefully can get Captain Breyden again. Highly recommend. If this company can pull of accommodating a large group of energetic kids, they can handle any crowd so long as they are treated with respect, professional...

Unforgettable day trip to Emerald Bay.

This experience was extraordinary, and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team on board, Captain Colin and Sarah. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable journey.

From the moment we boarded the (upgraded :)) yacht, our little group of 6 enjoyed every single moment. The cruise, the paddleboard, the floaties, Emerald Bay on a thursday with almost no one around, the perfect weather. The setting at Emerald Bay was nothing short of breathtaking. And we lost count of how many dolphins we encoutered up close.

Captain Colin and Sarah were the heart and soul of this remarkable experience. Their expertise and dedication to ensuring our day was perfect were evident from the moment we set sail. Captain Colin's knowledge of the local waters, as well as his impeccable piloting skills, made us feel safe and allowed us to enjoy every moment without a care in the world. Sarah, with her warm and friendly demeanor, provided impeccable service throughout the day, attending to our every need with a smile. Her attention to detail and commitment to making our day special did not go unnoticed.

We did multiple boat trips in the past from Marina Del Rey, multiple ones more expensive and supposedly more luxurious than this one, this one was the most enjoyable we've ever experienced.

These guys were amazing!!

I had my engagement on this yacht and it couldn’t have been more beautiful! Starting from the booking process - the customer support was so professional, kind and flexible to even suggest what to do and when to do it in order to make the experience magical.

The captain and the lady who helped around were so sweet, kind and patient with me. They even offered to take photos and videos of the whole thing and I must say, I’m glad they did. Their arial photo were really nice!

The captain agreed to stop the boat at some point to allow me to propose. He chose such a romantic and calm route which allowed me and my group to enjoy even more photos and great views after the proposal. It was such a chill calm experience aided by the surround music system offered on board.

Oh we also arrived an hour late, but the captain was still kind enough to fit us into his schedule and still allow us to use the yacht for the original amount of time booked (2 hours)

Cant wait to have my next big thing here! I’m thinking of a birthday party next, maybe for 3 hours this time....
