This is a review for their Birthday Party services:
Our experience was hands down THE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE.
We paid for a package, completed the online forms, got the call and went through the phone registration, paid and everything else. Then the day before the birthday I had to call to check everything was ok because they hadn't yet (they say they will call 2-3 days before to verify and finalize) The girl that answered started off by questioning my reservation asking for a confirmation number. Then she said "oh I found it, it was on a DIFFERENT event list"............. I verify it all, am told we can arrive at 1130 with the cake and stuff. Cool, figure maybe someone just is totally unorganized and lazy at their job.............should've known. So, my wife calls day of to ask if we can put some extra food on the order- they tell her show up anytime after 11 to do that.
Wife shows up at 1115- they hadn't even begun putting the room together- she tells me that the way they responded when she checked in was more of a "who are you???" Sort of check in- so she knew they hadn't even prepared at all-
I get there at 1140- there are a couple tables with some table cloths and a cheap "happy birthday" dollar store type thing on the wall- not even balloons (which they said were included, there were some, but they were just on the table and disappeared after my wife asked if she is supposed to blow them up) you could do what they did for probably $15 from the dollar store easily.
I had to call my wife and find where the room was because there wasn't any signage to direct guests- they said you have to "check in with us and we will tell you where to go"- how's about you put a sign at the entrance instead and make it a bit more personalized.
By 1215 I was downstairs to complain again for the 2nd time because guests were in the room and there still wasn't any of the food we paid for............. when it did arrive, it was mediocre at best- barely warm and just very low quality.
Without writing a full novel about the SERIOUS LACK OF ORGANIZATION, RESPECT AND CARE the "Guest Service" staff that take care of special days did to make my stress go through the roof and my wife literally come to tears because it looked like our daughters birthday was screwed- I'll make it all very simple-
I WILL NEVER AGAIN EVER CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR AN EVENT FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER- THEY COULDNT PAY ME TO HAVE AN EVENT THERE.
I will give credit to the couple people that did try to do their best to fix the issues which were caused by the Birthday Guest Service staff whom apparently didn't give a care enough after they arrived to approach us themselves and apologize for their serious incompetence.
I support our Knights! But for events and special days- this place is definitely a 20000000% NO GO zone for us and I would seriously warn others making reservations and would recommend anywhere else other...
Read moreI believe I've reviewed this place before however it may have been for the pizza 🍕 restrauant up stairs (there is a other VGK knights practice area in downtown Hendo and while I believe the restraunts are virtually the same, they have diff names.) Both are worth checking out just to go eat. However this time we went to pick up some merch. They have the official Las Vegas Golden Knights shop here which is like any official merchandise store you would see at a pro baseball park/basketball arena. Neat stuff but of course you'll pay full price. Roughly 350-400$ for a genuine jersey. I already have Vancouver Canucks pro jersey from a loved one so I'll wait until I actually go to a game to possibly buy something there. I did get a 35$ hat though LoL! Anyway they have two rinks where youth and I assume traveling teams play and both rinks are nice. It's pretty enjoyable to sit back for a bit np doubts. I like both equally but ive been to this one twice and the water street location once. I may be wrong but the hendo water street may not have gift/apparel shop (don't hold me to that though) other than that they are very much alike. I believe the VGK practices at one or both locations but again I'm assuming. This place edges out water st. Due to the amazing baseball diamond attached at the south end of the building. 4.2 hendo and 4.35 for this...
Read moreThis is a down to business hockey rink. You're not going to find alot of distractions. It has two rinks, bathrooms, and locker rooms for the players.
There's a coffee shop downstairs that can also be found in the Lifeguard Arena and a restaurant upstairs that has room to accommodate large parties. However, the flow of traffic isn't the best. It became extremely crowded very quickly and it was very difficult to move around. I dropped from 4 to 3 stars simply because of traffic flow and seating. Crowd management is extremely important in a public venue like this one.
The stadium seat runs the length of the rink, but the design of the seats makes it hard to sit and the view of the ice isn't the best. It's almost non existent from the restaurant windows which caught me by surprise. In every rink I've been in, the second floor view is almost always the best. Most of us either stood up or sat on the concrete floor in between the seats to watch the game. The picture I've added was taken from the top of seating area inside not the rink. I couldn't find a good place to take a picture from the restaurant windows.
If I was comparing this rink to the Lifeguard Arena in Henderson, I would pick Henderson everyday...
