My family and I stayed at this property at the friends and family rate in January15, 2016. When I checked in the hotel front desk staff were extremely friendly. I provided my ID and the authorization form at check-in. My brother was scheduled to arrive later that evening. The room was decent however, the bathroom floor needed a mopping. I didn't complain because to me, it was very minute. Later that night after driving 7 from Atlanta and hanging out a little that evening on International drive, my husband received a call from my bother saying that the front desk staff said they didn't have an authorization form. I told him that I had already given it when I checked in and to check my file. About 5 minutes later we received another call from the front desk personnel saying I needed to come downstairs and show my ID. At this point I was irritated because I was called out of bed for an issue that could have been resolved the following day. Well I couldn't locate my ID and the front desk personnel, who was wearing someone else name tag became irate and began to questions me about my ID as if I was a child. He was very very rude. I later found my ID, while he was on the phone with the previous front desk staff from the earlier shift. He found the authorization form and never offered an apology. The next day, I spoke with the front desk manager and what do you know, she apologized for him. I told her how the situation should have been handled because I too was a previous employee of Marriott. She acknowledged that I was right but still proceed to take up for her employee. I told her I was not satisfied. After checking out, I called back several times and left messages for the GM. The GM never returned my call. I stay with Marriott all the time. However, because if this experience I will reconsider. I am appalled at how this situation was handled because Marriott prides itself on customer satisfaction. I will no longer stay with this property again, neither will I provide recommendations to this property unless this situation...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ESPECIALLY THE STAFF. MY SISTER S. PADRON STAYED HERE PAST 7 DAYS AGO AND THEY NEVER RETURNED HER $60 DEPOSIT. She won’t get it back due to not having access to that account anymore! ASIDE FROM THAT THEY SPECIFICALLY TARGET CHILDREN AS NUISANCES. They came to her room twice once at midnight and once at 4PM! At midnight the kids were asleep!
The guy who came at 4PM said that they received noise complaints. He also stated they asked the other guests to move rooms and they wouldn’t! He said maybe they wanted a free room. The Manager was no where to be found! But is trying to insist she moved the other guests when the other guy specifically stated they wouldn’t move! So she’s lying and trying to still target my sisters children! After this at checkout the guy was like didn’t you stay at Towneplace across the street? My sister responded over a year ago but after that she was thinking why does he need to know this as it’s not recent! In fact she’s stayed at Towneplace Orlando airport 52 days recently and 30 at residence inn convention both with NO issues!!
Then just yesterday the Manager calls my sister saying she made a reservation twice under my sisters name and Marriott account looking for her phone number? This alone tells you the operator doesn’t even know how to run this hotel. You cannot make a reservation under someone else’s name and account. Sounds a bit like fraud !
She as a titanium member never received the check in points either and the manager looked for every way possible to bonvoy.
I told my sister to hang up right in her face because obviously she’s a FRAUD and today this will be escalated further...
Read moreGood afternoon, I stayed at the Marriott on Saturday February 23, 2019. When I went to the room that was assigned to me, I immediately called and went to the desk to complain to about the smell in that room. The smell was so bad my grandchildren were complaining. I was told many things that night like, unfortunately I could not get another room, I could recommend another hotel, I can send maintenance to your room with a dehumidifier, and, the maintenance man can spray fa-breeze. I asked the clerk to get me a manger and he said that he can call one. I watch him text someone and waited for a response. His reply was the manager could not help me tonight. Because it was so late and I had children with me I said just send the maintenance man up with the dehumidifier. The person came up and said that it was locked up and he doesn't have the code to open the room. I was not accommodated at all on this stay. The next morning at 6:30 a.m. I went to the desk and asked for a manager and was told that no one will be available until Monday. While driving home I realized that I was scratching a lot. I noticed bumps on my wrist and arms. When I made it home I took pictures of the bumps because I knew that I would be contacting the hotel on Monday. Attached you will find pictures of my are and I can take and send more if needed. I have not spoken to my grandchildren's' parents to see if they had bumps as well. I need to be accommodated for my troubles. Marriott is supposed to be a top notched organization and the treatment that I have received, is...
