Fat Shack — Restaurant in Florida

I had this place once a couple years back and wasn't very happy about it. I tried it again a few days ago and it was FANTASTIC. the employees were actually so nice. It's like they actually cared about good customer service. I didn't even have to ask, they gave me a double bag. Gave me a drink carrier. Now the food was AMAZING. I ordered the fat knightro, my husband ordered the fat shack and we ordered, I think it was the fat platter? I don't remember. It was pretty much the sampler on the appetizers. The fries Mac n cheese balls were perfect. Crisp on the outside. And CHEESY on the inside. As they should be I hate when it's pretty much just noodles inside. I added buffalo and ketchup to my knightro and I feel like they put the perfect portion of each ingredient into it. Every bite was delicious. My husband's, looked like it had a lot of fries in his but he very much enjoyed his as well. Not too much or too little of anything. Every bite was excellence. I think it's a little pricey. If you're drunk this might taste good but otherwise the taste is mediocre at best. Me and my buddy can eat ALOT and we were still hungry after eating the subs because we had to stop eating after the first half of our subs. These are just potatoe subs packed with mostly fries and barely any meat with way too much sauce. The soggy fries in my "doobie sub" were overwhelming and my friend said the same. I'm glad i didnt get the bigger sub for $20 like my friend did no amount of hunger can make me eat a full sub here. It was a soggy and sloppy sub. If you love pure potatoes eat these over priced subs with the cheapest possible ingredients. Grab a big drink, you will need it to force this down. When I unwrapped my sub, there wasn't a single dry spot on my bread it was all covered in sauce.

This is a small hole in the wall place in the middle of a shopping center back off University Blvd. They only have two tables inside and one outside, so it’s basically a takeout place. The food was okay, but not great. We tried three of their sandwiches and a burger. They got the food out pretty quickly, but the consensus in our group was that the sandwiches were just mediocre, and really just gimmicky. I’m sure they taste better if your hammered and want something to eat after going to a club, but that doesn’t describe my dining needs.
