Tl;dr: decent boba not from power, wonderful service if you want it, kiosk if you don't. Decent option for a snack/light lunch; little pricey, but in this economy what isn't?
Walked in and the place smelled and looked clean, if not the most cozy atmosphere, it definitely seems like a primarily takeout kinda place. The cashier was taking the order of a family with a child that was probably around 6 years old and was very friendly, interacting with both the parents and the kid. The cook was also very pleasant when he came out with the food. When I stepped up to put in my order I noticed there was also a kiosk for those who prefer it. I had a few questions about the menu so I addressed the cashier and she was wonderful in answering my questions. I learned that the tea isn't from powder, but some of the flavorings are and that they put extra effort into seasonal drink mixtures between listening to past customer feedback and just testing things out. It didn't feel like the lady (I wish I could remember her name) was just firing off answers to get me to order faster, but that we were actually having a conversation. I got the half taro half Thai tea boba and a spam and egg musubi. The tea was decent, not the best I've ever had, but I would definitely order boba from there again. The musubi was decent as well, I think the egg to rice ratio could be a bit more generous in favor of the egg. In my opinion the price of the musubi was a little steep for what it's made of, but I also understand that the place has to make a living and where else can you actually get...
Read moreFirst and foremost I want to say that the food here was ridiculously superb.
The Garlic Soy Musubi was very well put together and the chicken was so juicy and delicious! I wasn’t expecting this to be as great as it was in the Musubi. I would probably get two of these if you’re ordering for yourself.
The Classic Spam Musubi was delicious as well. I enjoyed the Soy Sauce with it
The Volcano Musubi was by far my favorite. The torched crabmeat on top was cooked really well and I know it says spicy but this is actually a bearable spice for those that tend to veer away. I would say it’s flavorful more than spicy.
My own downside was the Almond Boba Milk Tea. It’s the main reason I dropped it a star. Even after the shakes and mixing it all together, I tasted no almond flavor and to be honestly barely even milk flavor. If I had to describe it I would say water slightly flavored with some bobas. Disappointing but the food to me is the strong key feature of...
Read moreThey already lost a loyal customer. Worst customer service ever. You wont find any QUALITY SERVICE in this place. I used to love this place but not anymore. First of all the cashier didn’t take the correct order, so when the lady gave it to us we told her the crema cheese was missing. When we tried the drink, it was too sugary so we asked if they could redo it… they said there’s nothing they can do about it. So I asked for a refund, they refused. They said they can not make another because I already drank a chunk of it (are you kidding me?) So they made us wait because they had to call the boss to ask for permission!!! Really ?!?!?! At the end, they came with the same…. That they only can return the money because If they have to make a new drink I will have to pay extra. Everything was with attitude. The owner of this place need to invest in a customer service class for all...
