My boyfriend and me love coming to this store and have never had an issue with them before , all the time we have come the owner is there with his cute dog. this time there was a teenager who seems to not have any customer service skills… my boyfriend was looking to purchase multiple games , some were not priced so we asked for prices and ended up waiting like half an hour, during this he had helped every other customer but us and rudely told us we had to wait another 30 minutes. He went on to keep helping everyone but us while we stood there waiting and another 30 minutes passed by. during this time the guy had spent time helping new customers coming in , talking casually to a man who had came in. and still no urgency to help us. we were just very disappointed, this is my boyfriends favorite game store and we drive far to get here. we would be standing there as he helps everyone. I work retail as well and try to be understanding but it was ridiculous how long we we been waiting and how he wouldn’t update us like oh just one second or whatever. or atleast tell newer customers to give him a sec so he could finish helping us. it’s sad cuz this is clearly a young man with underdeveloped social skills but maybe don’t leave him alone in the store no more. we just gave up and left without the games. we would have bought so much if...
Read moreWhat a complete joke of a store. Walked in a couple days ago and at first glance it looked like it might have potential. Sure, it’s messy but whatever, I can deal with that. The real issue is the miserable excuse of an owner running it.
I asked a simple question about the price of an item since nothing is clearly labeled, and instead of giving a normal answer, this guy instantly flips on the attitude like I just insulted his mother. Mind you, the store was dead empty. Just me, my husband, and this walking attitude problem. So why the hostility? Boredom? Insecurity? Who knows.
After checking out other reviews, it turns out this is not a one off. This is just how he treats people. His unhinged, snarky responses to customers are honestly laughable but also a massive red flag. The man throws tantrums like a bratty child who was told no for the first time. It would be funny if it was not so pathetic.
If your ego is so paper thin that a basic question sets you off, maybe retail is not for you. Here’s an idea. Either put actual price tags on your stuff or develop the basic social skills required to answer a question without spiraling into a meltdown. Until then, this place is nothing more than a cautionary tale with a door....
Read moreThe people running the store were VERY friendly and knowledgeable about games and systems. My only real complaint is that for the store being open for 4 months, it's a little bit of a mess. There's stuff all over the store by the counter and in the middle of the store kinda blocking the counter which also has stuff all over it, the flooring isn't done, there's a chunk of the ceiling in the middle of the store that's all chopped up, looks like they took out a wall and it's unfinished. All the games are behind locked glass displays, which I get for theft reasons, but if you just want to look at a game because it looks interesting and you want to see if you'll like it, bring your phone and look it up because otherwise you'll have to get the staff to come open a cabinet for you every time. Also not everything is priced so if you're looking for prices for multiple things, maybe make a little list first and then ask them, so they're not running back and forth opening the cabinets and looking it up. Great store, fantastic staff, great collection of games just slightly unorganized feeling. But I think time will hopefully...
