Golden Star Theaters - Shenango Valley Cinemas — Attraction in Hermitage

I tried to book a birthday party for my son and it was a total disaster. I called the number provided to book the party, I called multiple times for three days straight, and there was no answer. On the third day I was able to get the voicemail and I left a message. I waited two days and still, no one returned my call. Finally, last Wednesday, I was able to reach the manager. He took my information and said he would call me back to finalize the details and confirmation. It is now Sunday night and I have yet to hear from the manager. I decided to have the party somewhere else. The party was to be set on April 16th and I could not invite the guests on less than a week's notice. I have never had a problem booking a birthday party anywhere else, and the booking is usually done in one phone call. My son was left disappointed and I felt like we were pushed to the side. A friend of mine and I recently went to watch John Wick Chapter 4, we bought our tickets and were told to go to theater 2, walk in and the movie is already playing (admittedly we were 5-10 mins late) and we think nothing of it. I leave to use the restroom 30 mins in, come back out and my friend is waiting outside and tells me the movie already ended, we mention it to one of the staff who replies back with "well you're supposed to be in theater 10" in a rather rude fashion, which we would've been there had they not sold us tickets for theater 2 AND directed us to go there. So we went to theater 10, got to see some more of the movie but still missed the first third of the movie. I have been going here since I was a little kid and I've loved the experience it has brought, the movies where great, the staff was nice, the building was clean. But as of my last few visits the mood in the building has changed mostly in the way the staff interacts with their customers, they speak to you in a stern brash and condescending tone, Maybe its because of covid people are just super tense but that's no excuse to make your patrons feel unwelcomed, the staff has kind of taken away the magic that made that building so special. Plus on top of that the food is pricy with no refills but at the end of the day its the movies what did you expect. Overall I'm going to continue to come here and just hope the environment changes because this place has been a constant happy place in my life since I was a kid and it holds a very special place...
