This place is a fraction of its former glory. $14 for a decent 12" sub is NOT unreasonable in 2025 ... However, with the exception of the bread, the sandwiches at Hot Rods have gone completely downhill over the years and apparently 2025 marks the worst of it. I don't even think they are 12" anymore. There is barely any meat on these sandwiches...Very little cheese.....And to put it plainly, it simply is NOT worth the price, anymore. The amount of deli meat and cheese on their subs is, or should be an embarrassment to them. Literally one or two paper thin pieces and that's no exaggeration. Not enough to actually taste what kind of sub you're eating. Sadly they don't care what you think either. I can't believe this place has been open as long as it has. I would say 2 tbsp of lettuce and the thin skin of the tomato, which i would toss out! They should be ashamed of themselves! The owner even made our subs.
