KAY Jewelers — Local services in Hermitage

This store is truly, the WORSE, jewelry store I’ve ever gone too. Not only is the staff completely down your throat and RUDE, one of the staff members lied to me and my girlfriend about the value of our watch and pretty much racially profiled us. Me and my girlfriend brought in a Rolex that had been passed down to us, just to authenticate it and see if it was in fact a Rolex or an infamous fake. From the minute we spoke to the the woman she already had a very weird and rude look. She had grabbed the watch from my girlfriends hand super quickly basically snatching it, and then barely looked at it before giving it back and saying it was a fake! Me and girlfriend didn’t believe her, THANK GOD, and took it to another place that nicely and politely told us our watch was in fact VERY REAL, and on top of that WORTH ALOT OF MONEY!!! The weirdest and most aggravating part was while me and my girlfriend walked around the mall, the staff proceeded to stare us down from OUTSIDE THE STORE!!! Which a security guard then proceeded to greet us and follow us around?!? That was when me and girlfriend officially knew something was off. Never going here and again and I advise you guys don’t...

Interesting that all if the recent reviews here highlight friendly staff and excellent customer service. I didn't get any of that. I'll try not to take it personally. I got blank stares walking through the door, no hello (I said hello after a second because it was weird), no smiling, no friendliness or effort or indication that anyone there was interested in helping - all negative feedback, negative attitude .. again, more blank stares. No concern. No trying or putting any type of effort into leading me in the right direction -definitely not interested in helping. And Dismissive. Nobody cared. I took a chance by stopping in there because I was in Hermitage. The staring not cracking a smile, looking annoyed - the whole time. Coming from people there to service a customer or potential customer- What could be a reason for that? Grove City has never treated me that way or had me feeling uncomfortable. I was definitely treated differently than what these positive reviews...

The staff at this location is super friendly. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by more than one of them. They were eager to help, but not at all pushy. They were not the typical sales person just trying to get me to buy the most expensive thing in the case. They really listened to what my style was and what I wanted. They kept that along with my budget in mind. When I was still couldn't make up my mind they helped me create a profile and save my favorites so I could go home and think about it over the weekend and come back once I had time to think. I hate to spend money without being thoughtful. I really appreciated them being friendly but not fake, and helpful but not pushy. Great job to this team and management for getting it right. I will be back to this store for all my future...
