Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada — Attraction in Auburn

I have to change my review from below . I've discovered quite a few people who go thrift shopping for cheap things for the sole purpose of hiking up the price and selling it on the web. So now, I don't blame Goodwill for the higher prices. I thrift shop for things to use that I normally couldn't afford and these Etsy/eBay sellers are ruining it for the rest of us.

...Most expensive Goodwill ever!!!.... Prices, on stuff they got for FREE are too high. STICKER SHOCK!!! Almost as much as brand new for a fry pan, dutch oven and a lot of other things. I find something that I can use and some things I never thought I'd own so I'm happy,, flip it over and have a coronary at the super high price. They GOT IT FOR FREE!! $24 bucks for a used Dutch oven at the Goodwill is just greedy. People are always nice and I do always walk out with something I also always leave disappointed too when the prices on some thing I was happy to find is almost equal to buying it brand new. Worst customer service I've ever had. Jonathan was extremely rude and put his hands on me by grabbing things out of my hands. Then tells me he rang me up double and telling me I need to recheck everything while a long line formed. I tried to let other go ahead of me but he told me I wasn't allowed to do that. Then tells me I can't afford my items I'm buying since I didn't want to buy a .10 bag that I thought was always free there. When I called him out in front of the manager for being rude the manager said nothing. A Im sorry let me try to help ring you up and make sure you're being rung up right would have been nice but the manager wouldn't even look me in the face. Then I'm told by another manager he has mental issues and he has no filters as if that's an excuse for how rude and white trash he made me and my children feel. If the store knows he's like this then he shouldn't be in the front interacting with the customers. They are lucky I didn't call the police for him putting his hands on me...

I love Browsing Goodwill! I usually go to Roseville but I live in Auburn so I thought I’d go in and check it out! I do not struggle financially but I love a good deal! I take pride in how I dress and how I present myself and in Roseville they are nice and very respectful. The minute I walked into Auburn one if the associates started following me?? I was looking through the shirts and she was standing 2 feet from me watching everything I did! It made me so uncomfortable that it ruined the whole experience. I have the utmost respect for these workers and can appreciate the need to keep an eye on things but really come on?? Don’t PROFILE!! I felt like I should take out my credit card just to go through the store! Management, you should train your employees not to do this , I hesitate to return. Practice a more professional approach and let those of us that are there to shop, enjoy...
