We had unfortunately incident when trying to purchase clothes and furniture. They were near closing so we tried to hurry and we had 40 mins . We were checking out and mentioned that we wanted a table in the back. We were told by Nancy, our cashier , to go and get the tag from the table. My friend rushed to the back to get the tag. She had to remove several items that were placed on top of the coffee table. A young man asked if she needed help. She said no informing him she just needed the tag. The guy said she can't bring the table to the front and that it has to go out through the back. That's when the manager Juan spoke out and said we are closing and you should have come earlier. When she stated that she had gotten there earlier and that was very unprofessional of him and to please keep his comments to himself. He then came back toward her and told her he wasn't talking to her and that he was talking to his employee. He tried to block her from getting the table then the glass . She asked him to stay away from her as he was speaking to her aggressively . Instead of arguing and being rude he could have helped. She then said if the back is closed then I can carry it through the front. She carried the frame and left the glass with the intentions of going back for the glass. When she went back in she was told she had to go through the back to get the glass and she stated she did not want to go through there and have another issue with this man who was intent on confronting and harassing her. She asked another gentleman to please bring the glass to the front register because she wanted to avoid any more problems and she just wanted to get the table and get out. Juan made it a point to bring the glass to the front and held onto it and would not let her take the glass and continued to harass her. She told him not to talk to her that she just wanted the table and she wanted to leave. He continued to escalate the situation everyone there Heard her tell him to leave her alone. He would not back off. He threatened to call the police and trespass her when she had done nothing wrong. Please check your cameras and your audio. You will see that everything I have stated is true. I had other items at the register besides The table to purchase. I put my card in and I signed for it But because it didn't print out receipt the cashier would not let me take the items I showed her that it stated The amount owed was taken out of my bank statement as well as on my messages when I get notified for any purchases. If it was an error my statement would have automatically did () in green. I try to run the card again but when I it did , it said duplicate transaction.l . We tried it at least three times. Then Juan comes to the front and starts bad mouthing a customer to his employees. Comes to find out later it was my friend. Nancy tries to get Juan to understand the situation regarding the payment method and I tried to show him the information that I have on my side as well as it's stating that it's a duplicate transaction. He immediately dismisses me and cuts me off stating "we can't go based on what you show us." So now I will dispute the charges as I did not receive my items. We spoke to Susan who was another manager who was just informed of what had happened. She stated there was no reason we couldn't take that table out the front door and that his behavior was out of line. I left everything else and my friend paid cash for the table. And now I need to make certain that this credit card charge does not go through. I plan to post this experience on every site. I wish to be contact please...
Read moreSo this just happened. I was at goodwill and purchased $52.23 worth of stuff. I used my applepay. As I am walking out a lady grabs my cart and said I didn’t pay. Mind you my stuff is in bags I said yes I did pay and opened up my Apple wallet to show the transaction Receipt. She tells me (rudely) well it didn’t show as paid on our end. I said mame I am showing you my receipt on my phone. She said I could not leave the store with my merchandise. It’s still goodwills merchandise until I pay. She said you can’t get that stuff for free. We what really, didn’t want it for free. I then opened my bank app and showed her my 52 bucks was no longer in my bank account so I am out 52 dollars and still have nothing? She calls corp which looks my transaction up using the last four of my credit card. Nope no transaction, you can’t have the stuff. Now it wasn’t not getting the items I just spent all morning finding. It was they had my money and wouldn’t give me the merchandise I would be out both. She says “you need to pay again” I said then I will have paid 104 dollars for over priced stuff. No way. So I say I will go over by the office and call the bank. They are surrounding me like I was going to make a break for it. My bank tells me the purchase indeed went through. I would have to file a complaint and get my money back. Usually take 7 to 10 days to investigate. Nice no stuff and out the money for a week or so. The bank asks did you get the merchandise you paid for. I said no they won’t let me leave the store. 10 minutes on the phone with the bank reporting this issue and the lady walks up and said since you used Apple Pay it didn’t show up on our end by using your card number. But they looked it up by price and time and found it so I am free to go. No apology No sorry we treated you like a criminal and tried to get me to pay you twice. Nothing Just oops our bad you can go. I deal with the increasing prices because I just get what I think is a good bargain. But lately they are so rude and their customer service is non existent. God forbid you find something you like without a price. They either won’t sell it to you or jack the price up so much from what it probably was that you don’t want it. It doesn’t cost a thing to be nice to people, this should have been handled with more respect Even people in line...
Read moreA great variety of New and pre owned treasures to be found. For the most part, their prices are fair, but, if you've never shopped there before be aware that a two piece item is priced per piece. So if you see a two-piece suit and a price tag of $5 on it and you want both pieces of the two piece suit you will pay $5 per piece for total of $10. The quality of their pre-owned items is very good. They are careful to only put the "better" items on the sales floor, so again, very good quality items to choose from. My disappointment lay with the poor lighting in the dressing rooms, the few mirrors that were in the shoes and clothing department were too dirty to see your reflection, OR, were actually those wavy mirrors you see in a Carnival Fun House! I even asked one of the not very friendly employees if the mirror was there as a joke. She just stared at me. Lastly, there was a lot of disorganization in the clothing area. None of the jeans were in their perspective spots on The Clothing Rack. There were size 2 mixed with 16, even came across a size 1, who is this size one anyway? But I digress. That section of the store definitely needs a more constant presence of the staff to keep it in order. I became frustrated with not finding the size as it was marked on the rack so, I walked away...no sale there. I did however manage 2 purchase 7 pairs of brand new name brand shoes along with a high-end rain jacket 4 blouses 2 sweaters and two pair of pants for $93. All in all a good Haul, at a good price. Now I have clothes to keep me warm when I head off to Pennsylvania for the holidays without spending a small fortune. And I'm going to look darn good in...
