I had purchased my rings at another location but had some damage to them so I was recommended by a family member to try this jeweler.
I dropped my rings off early May. One ring needed to be rounded out and the other was an eternity band that was going to get split into two separate bands.
I picked up the ring that was rounded out. It looked gorgeous in the store. I left but a few hours later when the lights weren’t shinning I could see that a few of my side diamonds were missing. I was extremely upset because you would think they would do a quality control inspection prior to giving the rings back to customers. I came back a second time to drop the ring off and for them to replace the 4 small diamonds. Weeks later it was ready for my pick up. So I go to pick it up, all looks nice again. I should have asked for them to inspect each diamond but I trusted that they got it right this time.. I was wrong. I got all the way home and there was 1 diamond missing. They had only replaced 3 instead of 4. I was furious. I drove back to the store, mind you it’s 30 minutes from my house. For as long as this company has been in business, it truly unacceptable that they lack thoroughness. People are trusting you with their sentimental pieces. For them to be less than perfect isn’t right. I really tried to be as patient as possible but Honestly, it’s disappointing that I can’t trust the quality of work because it’s almost like I had to check behind them as this instance occurred twice with the same ring. Very disappointing. Then the additional diamond setting didn’t look right and not as crisp as the other settings. Turns out under a microscope I could see the jeweler scratched the side of the ring.
The eternity band I had split into two rings came out beautiful however it took almost 6 weeks for them to complete it. I also never received a quote about how much it would be so by the time the work was completed I was told then how much it would cost.
Overall, I’m sure my experience isn’t the norm but it’s not the one I’d like to have again, especially since this was my first experience with them so I’d rather not return. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. Wouldn’t trust them with another piece of my jewelry.
Just make sure you inspect everything prior to leaving the store to save yourself from wasting...
Read moreI dropped a few pieces off and asked for a quote to have the pieces made into a ring. I spent a lot of time reviewing it with Carol who.wrote it all down and said it would be 1-2 weeks. A month later I called to inquire and the man took a message and said he'd look I to I and call me. He never did. Two weeks later, anxious about it, I went to just get my jewelry back. They took a long time looking for it. They then told me that it was at the jewelery designers and that Carol hadn't written the details down. (Lie #1). He was very vague as to when I could get me pieces back and said I should call him, but speak to ONLY him. I said I'd left messages and he said he couldn't hire someone to return calls. (?!). He said the employees are busy and can't make calls. He then said that the problem is they have to many orders (not my prob). When I said I had lost confidence I'd see the jewelery again he started yelling at me that he's 85, was a marine, and had never lost jewelery, so I better not say that. I then asked the young man if I could go to the designer and pick up my stuff. He was also vague, he'd get it for me tomorrow, maybe the next day, all in hushed tones. Then guess what? Out from the back comes the man with my jewelery "it was in the safe" and dumped it all in my hand. So, yeah, they DID lose my jewelery, and then LIED.
My husband reminded me that when I took my mother's wedding set for appraisal it took them 30 minutes to find it. Gee, if I'd remembered, I wouldn't have gone back.
So now you know. Leave your jewelry at your own risk. If they misplace it they will lie and blame shift....
Read moreI probably won't be using this jeweler again. I was told by a friend they were reputable and it could be they are, in general, but my experience was not great. I dropped off a ring to be re-sized and to have the shank reinforced on Dec 28th. I was told that my requested work would be carried out for $70 and the ring would be ready in a few days. I called to check in on the status of repairs on Jan 5th and was briskly told that I had been misinformed about the work only taking a few days and that repairs were not complete - that they would call me when it was ready. So I waited and waited...and received no phone call. I called again on Jan 26th and was told it was ready on Jan 5th, that they tried to call but got no answer. Why no voicemail was left or why they did not try calling again is beyond me, not to mention the fact that I had called to check in on the 5th. When I arrived to pick up the ring the shank had not been reinforced. I was told, at that time, that reinforcement would be an additional $300, funny because my original receipt indicated that the ring would be re-sized AND that the shank would be reinforced. All in all a somewhat...
