I ordered a horchata latte ( hot) and it was SOOOOO good. I've been a barista with different companies & I can tell right away when someone actually makes a craft quality beverage. The foam was silky and smooth & the flavor had a lot of body.
Their drinks take a little bit longer to make than what we're used with corporate coffee makers, but keep in mind corporations literally time their employees to make drinks in 30 seconds, you can't get quality with that. Have patience and enjoy a well crafted drink.
My partner ordered a horchata, it was also really good. But also, different than what we're used to. Grew up in San Diego, we're used Mexican, Baja California taco shops. This is El Salvadoran, Honduran, central American inspired. So I've never had horchata like this, it was different, and I liked it.
We at chicken taquitos, tamale de elote, & a veggie burrito all of it was delicious. I also appreciate the vegetarian options being well made & with flavor.
They also have a gift shop with artisan items & specialty roasted coffee beans, please consider them when shopping small businesses during holidays.
Lastly the staff was super friendly, I saw number of people staying for a long periods of time to either converse or study, and having chatting with the staff. It's rare to see that & I have an appreciation for easy...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic! This local coffee shop has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and it’s so much more than just great coffee. They serve authentic, homemade Salvadoran and Costa Rican dishes that are simply outstanding. The flavors are rich, fresh, and made with obvious care.
Their pupusas are top-notch—perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with just the right amount of cheese and other ingredients. The tamales are deliciously tender, and the chifrijo (a Costa Rican favorite) is a must-try, with layers of flavor that are both savory and satisfying. I can’t get enough of the fried plantains; they’re just the right balance of sweet and caramelized, while the beef soup warms you up with its comforting and seasoned broth.
The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, and the staff truly make you feel at home. They clearly have a passion for both their coffee and the traditional dishes they serve. It’s a rare find to have such authentic Latin American cuisine alongside expertly brewed coffee. Highly recommend giving this place a visit—whether you’re craving a caffeine fix or a taste of Salvadorian and Costa Rican comfort food, this shop...
Read moreI have been coming here for over a year now. I used to love this cafe for a few reasons, the drinks were always well made, the vibes were nice, and the customer service provided by the staff was top tier. However, my perception of this cafe has changed drastically since the last few months. I don't know what happened for the service to be completely inadequate and for the drinks to not taste like they used to (not well made and tastes like they were being rushed). For instance, today my husband came in and decided to get a coffee. It was not busy like it usually is. Twenty minutes go by and he hasn't received his drink. Like i said it wasn't busy at all. He waited an extra 5-10 minutes, after his wait he went up to the register and they totally forgot about his coffee order. All i have to say is that it's unacceptable. They gave him a free muffin for their mistake in forgetting to make his one and only drink but how can you forget someone's order on a quiet morning. A lot of good baristas left that place and that could be the reason why this place isn't what it used to be. My husband unfortunately will not be coming back here again and I...
