This has been one of the most meaningful and humbling experiences of my life. Over the past few days, we faced tremendous struggles trying to find a place that prioritized saving our beloved dog over profit. When I called Helping Hands, everything changed. They didnât hesitate for a momentâthey took Nina in immediately and started the procedure without delay.
From the very first phone call, Kelinda was absolutely amazing. She listened with compassion, understood my financial difficulties, and assured me they could help. Their pricing was incredibly fair for the life-saving care they provided. I only wish I had millions of dollars to donate to themâI truly hope that one day I will.
When we arrived, the kind young woman who took Nina in was so gentle and caring. She explained exactly how the procedure would take place, which gave us so much comfort during a very stressful time. I wish I knew her name because her kindness meant the world to us.
Denisha was also outstanding, taking the time to explain every detail to us with patience and kindness. And the doctorâwhat a man of God. From the moment I met him at the reception, I could see his genuine love for animals and his calling to this profession. He wasnât doing this for money; his concern for Nina was heartfelt and sincere. He called me personally after the procedure, and his kindness and dedication brought us so much comfort.
When it was time for Ninaâs discharge, the Hispanic young woman (I regret not catching her name) was absolutely amazing. She was so thorough, patient, and compassionate, helping us understand the next steps in Ninaâs recovery and ensuring we left with peace of mind.
To anyone out there needing care for their pets, I wholeheartedly recommend Helping Hands. They donât just treat your pets; they treat you like family. Nina is still recovering and not out of the woods yet, but our faith in God remains strong, and we believe she will be completely healed.
Thank you, Helping Hands. Thank you, Kelinda. Thank you, Denisha. Thank you to the incredible doctor. And thank you to the two wonderful young women who made such a difference during Ninaâs journey. We are...
Read moreI would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff at Helping Hands, particularly the doctor who attended to Bella's case. After spending $600 for blood work at a veterinarian office in Lake Mary, only to learn that Bella had Pyometra and the clinic couldn't assist, I faced a daunting estimate of $4,200 for surgery at the Animal Emergency Hospital in DeLand. Almost considering euthanasia, I reached out to various animal centers and found "Helping Hands."
Despite uncertainty due to scheduling constraints, I pleaded with Crystal at 8 am, sending over Bella's lab work. Two hours later, I received the heartening news that they would take on Bella's case, a moment of overwhelming joy and gratitude. On November 30th, 2023, my fiancĂŠ and I left Volusia County at 5 am, greeted by the welcoming staff at Helping Hands, who treated us like family.
Throughout the process, they provided comfort, explanations of the procedure, and discussed potential risks. Leaving Bella behind, unsure of the outcome, was emotionally challenging. At 2 pm, I received a call confirming Bella's successful surgery, prompting tears of joy. When we picked her up, she exhibited boundless energy, as if untouched by the ordeal.
Helping Hands proved to be compassionate, caring, and understanding, treating us like family rather than mere clients. Their post-surgery follow-ups, including the clean bill of health on December 15th, showcased their commitment to their patients and their families. In times of despair, Helping Hands restored my hope, and their friendly and dedicated team, seemingly chosen by a higher purpose, exemplifies a blessing for Orlando's community.
Thank you, Helping Hands, for your unwavering understanding, love, and respect toward those in need within the community.
Jose & Rosa Diaz Merry Christmas to each and...
Read moreI can not THANK this place ENOUGH for saving my dogâs life (my dog was really on the brink of death)! After some time of my dog [of what I though] having IBS and appetite issues found out she was diagnosed with PYOMETRA - after having symptoms for 6 weeks [though it had to do her diet - so I changed it a few times]. I was devastated trying to find a vet to do surgery on my dog and I do not have plenty of money (but my biggest problem was finding a vet to do surgery on her ASAP) âŚ.. So I called everywhere and I had options but most of them started with the estimate of $2800 plus any other underlying fees that will incur (this is outrageous what these vet clinics do to pet owners) for my dogs chronic condition and she was suffering !!!! I almost thought about the possibility of having to put my dog down because she couldnât eat and walk at this point! I came across Helping Hands online and gave them a call: I spoke to a vet tech who informed me about every detail of the process to get my dog into surgery (paperwork with her diagnosis) - once I sent them the info they immediately said I can bring my dog in the very next morning with the very fixed price ($500ish) and not a penny more. They did warn my dog might not make it through surgery because of her extreme conditions and age (10 year old, 5lbs Chihuahua) but at this point I had no choice but to go through for the sake of saving her life. Got there I gave my dog to the tech thinking is was the last time I was going to see her alive [heartbreaking ]! Fortunately she came out of surgery well and I have waited weeks to make sure she is okay âŚMy dog is better than she was before ! Sheâs doing amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH HELPING HANDS Orlando for your service and caring nature you have with pets and their families! I am...
