Lincoln Pool - City of Manteca — Attraction in Manteca

The pool is great but if you are thinking about doing private lessons I would highly suggest NOT too. You pay a lot more for only 4 - 40 min classes than you do for group the instructors are young don't know what they are doing half the time, and a lot (Not all) will socialize while your child is hanging on the wall. They are very strict on NOT doing make up classes, so parents will bring their children in even if they are sick so they don't miss the class. The kid gets sick in the pool they shut the pool down , so if your child can't be there on the day they decide to do the make up class its not their problem. If you are doing group they will try to squeeze you in somewhere ( if it is bcuz they shut the pool down). But if you are in group, if you can't make up that lesson on the day they say they will have the make up class then you are out of luck. I paid $115 for private lessons $ 105 +'$10 for non residence. My family goes to Lincoln pool out of necessity on hot summer days. For the most part it is a good experience. I understand safety is paramount, but the staff can be a bit sensitive and overreact to children playing in the pool with toys like water guns or water toys. Another complaint would be they are only open for a short period of time. The pool is only open for a month in June, although hot summer days in Manteca go into July and August, leaving more to be desired. Luckily, they brought back the umbrellas at the picnic tables after several requests and complaints of no shade for the children to get out of the blazing heat when making everyone get out of the pool for lifeguards to take a break and rotations what feels like every 30 minutes. I hope they get more staff to keep the pool open longer, and they remodel the pool with all that Measure Q money that was already allocated for the new...

I enjoyed my time with family, but the bathrooms were disgusting, the pool was overcrowded, over chlorinated, and the overall vibe was not very classy. I do not reccomend this facility for people who have the option to go elsewhere. I also felt somewhat unsafe due to people smoking, drinking, and camping around the facility. But, despite the poor aesthetics, the staff were quite nice and seemed very attentive to my family's needs.
