Normally my experience with this store is a 5/5. Always clean, stocked, employees are very helpful. Today, I witnessed something that bothered me. Around 8pm 7/16, I think her name was Preet (self checkout) I was checking out about to pay when I witnessed the event: middle eastern gentlemen who appeared to not speak English arrive to the self checkout with roughly 20 items in their cart Preet: “guys do you have 10 items? (As if she doesn’t see her cart) the gentlemen look puzzled as they appeared to not speak English. Preet: “yeah it looks like you have more, you can’t use self checkout you’re gonna have to put your items back and go over there to check out” the gentlemen proceed to put a few items back in their cart. While I understand this may seem as standard procedure, I felt uncomfortable because even myself I had about 12 items. I didn’t know I had to start counting how many items I have before paying for them. The self checkout line was NOT busy. I understand if there was a long line of angry customers waiting to checkout. But I felt as if this wasn’t necessary. We all like target and want to checkout. They had a sweet older Asian lady scanning (she was taking an extreme amount of time scanning) so I understand why people opt to use self checkout. Again, the store was NOT busy and I did notice some sort of tone to preets words which made me feel uncomfortable even for the gentlemen. I just want to come here and feel welcomed. It’s not that big of a deal if two guys have a few extra items and checkout at self checkout. They are still paying, we are still happy customers. It’s NOT that serious. I also submitted a corporate level store experience ticket on this. I’ve been shopping at target for years. I’ll continue to shop here but I just feel there needs to be less of what I...
Read moreTerrible. They don't even deserve one star. They have one racist employee named PREET who needs to be fired. She was at the self check out lane. Tried to tell me there was no manager when I asked since she was not allowing me to use the express lane cause I had over 10 item. Mind you, my mother and I were doing two separate check outs (we just used the same basket for our stuff) My mom had less than 10 items (receipt to prove it) I had about 20 (mainly candy bars for boo baskets I need to make) around 945pm, there was not many people. Told me she remembered me from last time, and told me last time I wasn’t able to use the self check out that it’s an express lane, which I felt then she was signaling me out for my race because I don’t even remember her, which is complete discrimination on her end acting as if I was trying to steal. Allowing multiple people who had more than 10 items go before me which Middle Eastern looks. I have never had an issue with self check out EVER until I came across Preet. There was only 2 check out people, slow. Not friendly. All Rude. It would have been faster to just use the self check out lane. For both me and my mother. So finally the "Manager" came after I left to the check outs lane. She was absolutely rude, gave passive aggressive looks, and took her worker side...
Read moreI went to target today and the lady named Megan, which is a manager was super rude. She talked to me very arrogantly over an issue that I was having about purchasing a binder that was on clearance. There was a bunch on the shelf and I wanted to verify to make sure that I was getting the binder for the correct price that I seen it for. I even asked the associate in the stationary area to verify that I was seeing the price correctly. She pulled up the Target app and scanned it seeing that it was still coming up at the regular price however she told me to just Take a picture and they should honor it once I get to the in front. So I did that went to the front scan the items they were still coming up as regular price, but Megan came along and she just Really didn’t care about what I was explaining to her about the price. She just kept insisting that if it wasn’t coming up on the Target Then she couldn’t honor it, which is not true, but that’s Megan at target in Manteca making the suggestion that it is Target’s policy! Megan, I hope your day is as wonderful as you were God bless you because I know Take care of...
