Disappointing Consistency in Poor Service

I’ve given this IHOP multiple chances over the past two years, hoping the experience would improve, but unfortunately, it hasn’t. Regardless of the day or time, the wait times are always long, both for seating and for food to arrive. It seems like they are consistently understaffed, which impacts the overall service.

One of the biggest issues is the lack of attentiveness. Servers rarely check in to see if you need anything, and when you do request something simple like extra creamer or butter, the response often feels rushed or frustrated. This isn’t a one-time issue—I’ve been here six different times, and the experience has been the same each visit.

What’s most disappointing is that I now find myself driving 45 minutes to the Livermore IHOP because the service, wait times, and overall customer experience there are significantly better. It’s frustrating to have a location just 10 minutes away that I can’t rely on for a decent dining experience.

I truly hope someone from upper management sees this review and takes action to address these ongoing service issues. As it stands, I’m not sure I’ll be returning to...

You know, any time my stomach gets to growling I head towards IHOP in Manteca. It doesn't matter what time of the day or night that I go, the food is always exactly the same. With over 100 items or combinations of food I never get tired of going. When I'm at home cooking for my family, I have many different choices to make and it's the same at our IHOP just without all of the work & of course let's not forget the dishes...lol. I like the smiling faces of the personnel and the consistent food choices (😋 pancakes)! I should mention that sometimes I may have to wait a little longer to get my food due to the crowds, but the way I think about it, the extra time lets me relax & visit with whomever I've come with. So, if you'd like a nice hot and yummy meal, head over to your neighborhood IHOP. Always remember to tip your waitress and your Chef (they make all of that great food, and everyone forgets to tip their Chef and thank them for their wonderful dining experience) because they are all working their best to make your meal enjoyable. I came to this Ihop with my family since we haven’t been there for a while. I had ordered a burger along with 3 or 4 other family members. As I was eating I noticed some brown guck on the lettuce so I opened it up and it was literally a clump of actual dirt. The whole piece of lettuce had dirt on it. I told my dad and siblings to check their burgers and low and behold they also had dirt in their lettuce. So basically they don’t clean their lettuce and probably a lot of other ingredients. We told the employee and she took it off our bill but we had asked for the manager and the manger never came out? Of course this is IHop so we weren’t expecting gourmet food but whenever we go to Ihop the food is pretty decent at least and we always leave satisfied. Not this time or location though.
