I have been here multiple times, and I almost booked a birthday party here one year.. but we were in the area so I had decided to play here last Sunday. But we couldn’t even get inside. And after I found out what happened, I will NEVER return. The parking lot had at least 30 cops, and I asked one grandma, as She was being shuffled out of the building, what happened? This is as the police were taping off the parking lot area, and eventually, the front door after hurrying several other people out of there. She told me, “go, get out of here! There was gunfire! Go!” I will absolutely not return after that, for obvious reasons.
But despite that incident… I would still give this place 1 star because they never keep anything clean. We used to come here a lot, but we had stopped and went to different indoor playgrounds because nearly every time that we would come here, within the next 2-3 days, my kid was sick. And he would end up with an ear infection as a result, and it was really bad. It was at least three separate times that we came to LOL and my son was sick a couple days after. My son was only 2 then, and I was at home with him all the time.. he couldn’t have got sick from anywhere but here as he was not in daycare, and we really didn’t leave the house very much at all, therefore I know that it had to have been at LOL that he got sick. Kids will be running around coughing and sneezing and still playing and touching everything. If your kid is sick you should not bring them out to a place like this, obviously, but soo many people do it anyways! So rude.
The staff could have done temperate checks during cold/flu season? Or if they saw an obviously sick child, ask the family to leave and sanitize the area? But you don’t see the staff ever cleaning anything here. The tables are a mess a lot of the time, the play area is worse. They only walk around with a leaf blower to “clean” up the ballpit balls that have gone astray. Never seen anyone wipe anything down. You can tell they don’t really care to clean much of the many surfaces because obvious shoe marks, dirt, etc. all over the play area and floor. The ball pit balls feel disgusting and greasy. It’s the worst on the high levels of the play area. I’ve climbed to the very top which is very high up and that’s where it looks the dirtiest, probably because it’s not as accessible as the ground floor and most parents aren’t up there to notice. But why are there dirty shoe marks when it is a “socks only” facility anyways?!
It is too bad the staff/owner don’t really care, because this place would be great if I was just judging the playground equipment! Unfortunately, they allow in what I feel like is more than their capacity should be, and the place is flooded with kids running left and right, no staff supervision anywhere at all, and they don’t clean a thing afterwards. The owners obviously don’t care to change their policies and improve this place as I’ve seen numerous other reviews that were recently posted. Overall they lack sanitation for a children’s facility and we saw the aftermath of an extremely dangerous hazard in a children’s play place… so thankful we weren’t inside when this occurred and I hope everyone was okay. I hope they get shut down after this incident, it is so not ok for this to have been happening at a place for kids. If they stay open I think they should install metal detectors & hire a decent cleaning crew to sanitize this place. Will never return ever. I already avoided coming here when my kid would ask, instead I’d suggest a different indoor playground, but now it will be a hard no. I wouldn’t have even came here today in the first place, but we happened to be nearby on that side of town, so I said fine we will go. But driving there, I kept telling my son, don’t put your hands in your mouth or on your face, unless you want...
Read moreI never thought I'd leave a review wishing for a zero or negative star option, but here we are. I've been to this children's play place more than once, and my previous experience was disappointing due to the cleanliness of the play area and the staff's attitude. We let a Groupon expire because I didn’t want to return. But after my daughter kept asking to go for the last two weeks, I figured we’d give it another shot, hoping it had improved. Unfortunately, it’s worse than ever.
We visited on Saturday, 8/24/24, meeting friends for a playdate when the place opened. After letting the kids (both 5 years old) settle in, we sat down, periodically checking on them. The floors in the seating areas were filthy, covered in shoe and sock prints, and this was right after opening. Then, my daughter came over and told me she stepped on glass. Shocked, I asked her to show me where. Meanwhile, her friend showed her mom a small injury she had gotten while trying to avoid the glass, causing her to fall and land on the glass, which ripped her new leggings and cut her knee, making it bleed.
I walked over and saw glass scattered everywhere near the front windows. Another parent mentioned that their child had found the rock that had clearly broken the window. When my friend asked for a bandaid and the staff saw her daughter's bleeding leg, they told her it had already been cleaned up. I then informed them that was definitely not the case; glass was still all over the mats. This is a play place where kids are required to wear socks only. One child was already bleeding, and that was the staff’s response? A few of us parents started using toys to barricade off the area because the glass had spread over a large area. There was no urgency from the staff; they eventually came over with brooms and said, "It's not our fault people keep breaking our windows." True, it’s not their fault, but it is their responsibility to maintain a safe environment for the kids.
Despite our concerns, the girls wanted to keep playing, so we kept them away from that area. The staff’s cleaning efforts were inadequate—they didn’t even bother to get a vacuum to clean up the shards of glass on the mats. They removed our barricades. It wasn’t until the owner arrived later that the staff finally brought out a shop vac and sealed the window to clean up the glass properly. Yet, the owner never checked in with my friend to see how her daughter was doing.
When our kids got hungry, we ordered food: one large pizza and an order of chicken spring rolls. The food took a long time to arrive. When I bit into the spring rolls, I found a triangular piece of bone inside the chopped chicken. I took multiple pictures as proof. Then I noticed a rash on my friend’s daughter, which hadn’t been there before. That was the last straw; we decided it was time to go.
This place is a disaster—the staff is terrible, and there’s zero regulation on older kids roughhousing. An older boy, maybe 8-10 years old, was grabbing my daughter’s hands in the ball pit, and I had to intervene calmly. No parents were in sight.
When you go to a play place, there’s an expectation of cleanliness, kindness, and safety—this place has none of those. To top it off, only one sink in the women’s bathroom worked, the paper towel dispenser handle was broken, one toilet was out of order, and another was clogged. The toys, like the large Legos and the balls, were filthy, and even my daughter mentioned that the slides were dirty.
We had to explain to our girls that we were leaving because it wasn’t safe—between the broken glass, the bone in my food, and the rash, it was time to go and never come back. I’ve mentioned this experience to other mom friends, and they all had horrible things to say about this place. I have no idea how this place is still open; it needs to...
Read moreMy daughter recently hosted my twin granddaughter's birthday party at LOL Kids, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place. My daughter paid $1600 for their Ultimate Package, which included 3 rooms, food (8 large pizzas, 2 appetizer platters, 2 salad platters), unlimited drinks, and icee treats for the kids. While the price was hefty, we expected great service and a smooth experience for such a special occasion – but that wasn’t the case.
Issues we faced: Shoes Policy Problems: Upon arrival, we were told all adults had to remove their shoes. This included elders and people with health issues who would be sitting the entire time. We had to argue with staff to get waivers to allow our elderly family members to keep their shoes on, which should have been handled more gracefully.
Room Mix-Up: To our surprise, when we got to our reserved rooms, they were given away to another party. We spent nearly 45 minutes sorting this out, and the issue wasn’t resolved until we spoke with the owner. The excuse they gave was that they thought we were part of another party, but no one bothered to confirm anything. It was very frustrating, and we didn’t even get into our rooms until an hour after the scheduled party time. As compensation for the inconvenience, the owner gave us a frozen tiramisu cake and two fruit trays – hardly an adequate fix.
Poor Food and Service: The service at the party was subpar. The host was unprofessional, and we had to repeatedly ask for refills on drinks and inquire about the food. We were given random food substitutions, like ranch dressing instead of the Caesar dressing we ordered. When we asked the staff about it, they acted like they didn’t know what we were talking about, and one of the workers at the register admitted they had just run out of the correct dressing. Additionally, we had to keep asking for plates, cups, and basic items, which seemed to annoy the host.
For the amount of money we paid, we expected much better service and attention to detail. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in providing a positive experience. Final Thoughts: If you’re planning to book a party for your children here, be prepared for potential stress and poor service. The lack of professionalism, mix-ups with reservations, and inattentiveness from the staff made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. For the price, there are certainly better venues that will respect your time, money, and your child’s...
