It's been a while since we've had omakase and this so happened to be one of the places that we discovered due to my bf following them on instagram. We were trying to figure out where to go for date night & we both are in love with sushi & sashimi especially that one of our earliest dates was an omakase. We figured we should try it out & I'm so glad he stumbled into this place. I think my eyes were shooting hearts all over when I saw Chef bring out Uni, caviar, and OMG those FRESH FISH. Everything in our 18 course menu was delicious and come to find out, they change their menu every month. We're already planning to go for my bday in May! The dishes that surprised me the most were the dishes I've never had - such as, the monkfish liver, fresh raw scallops, & the SEAWATER eel. BY THE WAY, their WASABI was so delicious I was picking at it as I ate especially since it's definitely REAL WASABI root - hence from the photo. It's got that nutty flavor & they make their own soy sauce. If you're not picky with food & want some food adventures, definitely venture out here. I ordered the Tengumai 50 Junmai Daigino sake and that flavor definitely paired very well with the dishes. I didn't even realize I was drinking the sake - I'm such a lightweight, I had to stop because it was filling me up LOL. I get the portions "may seem small," but you'll soon realize esp if you've never had omakase before - that they time it where you're bloated at the end. I really wish I can order their matcha green tea ice cream to take home. I may be full and bloated now, but that dessert hit the spot. Just peep at the photos I DID remember to take of the dishes we had. Those photos do not do it justice - you need to taste them. The service was top notch. It felt so welcoming. All the sushi chefs and servers made us feel comfortable. We DID NOT go to In-N-Out afterwards LOL! Will be back soon!...
Read moreHad high expectations for this place given all the pretty photos.
I can’t speak for the a la carte but I definitely do not recommend the AYCE. We ordered the premium 39.95, perhaps the worst sushi experience I ever had in Vegas.
The sashimi was thick cut but tasted dry and icy…plating was bad, looked sloppy. And sitting on plain beverage ice cubes, nothing premium-looking about it. The Uni wagyu hand roll, that was the worst. Tiny amounts of spoiled uni.. we picked all the uni out, tasted way off, pungent and bitter like crazy, with a strange chemical taste? I mean ayce sushi places I don’t expect sweet creamy uni, even fishy uni is understandable. But the ones we had were inedible. We left the uni part on the plate and told our waitress, she didn’t even apologize, just took it away..
The yuzu yellowtail looked sad as hell, no garnish, just oily looking slices of fish slapped on a plate.
The fish we didn’t fancy so we ordered appetizers instead. They weren’t any better either. Tasted bad and plating was horrendous. Takoyaki , three low quality tasting balls sitting like naked on some lettuce , none of that drizzle sauce, seaweed, tako flakes, nada… and tasted a bit sour inside
Even ice cream was bad. Green tea ice cream was like green color ice cream with tiny hints of artificial floral taste, nothing tea about it.
Online it mentions serves only the highest quality, that...
Read moreThis was our favorite sushi place in the whole city. When we called to make reservations every month, Lucas knew us over the phone by just my voice! He greeted us by name when we arrived. You changed from all you can eat to menu and refused to honor punch cards from all you can eat that were full with no notice. WOW. We stopped coming as obviously your loyal customers meant nothing. Not even a 1 time exemption to use them up? We browsed through Groupon and saw you and thought hey why not give it a chance! We arrived at lunch at 12:30pm. There was only 1 sushi guy when it used to be 3. There was 1 waitress and no bussers when it used to be 3. There was only 1 table occupied. It was sad and depressing now. We weren’t explained the menu, specials, promos - nothing. The food tasted different! We ordered more food to take advantage of the 30% discount since we asked the waitress if we could use that. She said yes. We then went to pay with our Groupon and were told all discounts were reversed and couldn’t not be combined. This isn’t printed or stated anywhere and when your staff explains nothing - it’s a scam. You can’t just change prices because you want to. You had a booming business. If you would have told us regulars you needed to raise the price to cover costs, it would have gone better. Now your business is...
