When the weather chills and the ice is right, skating around the ore dock in Marquette is a truly magical experience ice ⛸️ #iceskating #marquette #oredockmarquette #frozenlake #wintervibes #puremichigan

Fancy Spider is totally correct. I have it on good information that Ryan Hoger is the pseudonym of Maria Butina. He (or she) is trying to sow discord between pro and anti-Ore Dock factions of the American public. If we can't put aside our differences and recognize that this doesn't need to be a park, then we might as well start drinking Stoli Vodka and voting for Comrade Putin in the next election.

Do not listen to Ryan Hoger who is obviously a Russian troll attempting to dissuade the American tourism trade. The ore dock is cool is not "a leftover from a forgot time" because there is a new one by Presque Isle that is obviously still in use. It would be cool to see the City turn the old ore dock into something cool though like a market or even just pave a path into it so people can walk inside.

A beautiful place to stop and enjoy the view and the history. We had the great fortune of seeing the dock that is still in use being used! We watched as a ship docked and was taking on taconite, a type of iron ore. Special thanks to the fellow who works at the museum and also enjoying the event and was able able to give us some amazing details about the whole process. The particular ship we saw was one of only a few left still being used that had been...

History stands before you. A monument to all the souls that poured their blood sweat and tears into the building of this nation. The Ore Dock represents not only the discovery and mining of iron ore, but the shipping on the great lakes, automotive industry znd everything that came to be made of steel. Really worth a trip to the nearby Iron Ore Museum to see how this dock and the Upper Penninsula fueled the success...

This place is unbelievable! We were blown away when we saw it. And didn't really know what it was. I wish there was a little bit more information about it online or next to it. But we found out it's a now not being used or dark where they used to load up or. I guess there is one that is still used up the water. I would definitely recommend seeing this because it is so massive and it really puts perspective on how...
