This place is awesome! Such a wonderful place to visit and walk your dog. While visiting Marquette, I would come here daily and walk my dog. The grass is lush and the water is relaxing, a perfect combination to help bring things into perspective. I really love this place and the restroom facilities are top notch, super clean and modern. The morning was my favorite time to visit, as the sun is rising you will be feeling inspired and ready for the day ahead. Marquette is a gorgeous place, this park is just one of many things that make me want to relocate to Marquette. If you are ever in Marquette, definitely stop by this park for a stroll along the harbor shoreline. You will not regret it! -Nicholas K. (Tallahassee FL)

Very well kept park is the connecting point for several walking and bike paths which lead up to various restaurants and hotels in the Lakeshore Drive area of Marquette. Also has a marina with a dual channel boat launch and a ship lifter on site to lift larger vessels out of the water and place them safely onto their transport trailers. The people that do this are very careful at what they do and they are great group of people that operate the marina and maintain the park. Great place to eat lunch and exercise. Was a yoga class on site at the time I was in the park.

Lots of climbing features, slides, platforms. Some of the equipment is showing its age. The manta swing, two sets of chain swing, child operated excavator next to the sandbox is missing. This playground used to have an enclosure to ensure control access in and out of the play area to keep the tikes from running off however the balusters are missing and have been replaced with a plastic green snow fence with large gaps. The park is extremely clean.

Big, clean park downtown. Nice sun/shade balance for enjoying the lake, picnicing, big kids play structure, popular freighter dock photo op, marina, across the street from popular eateries and shopping. The day we went the ridiculously overpriced great lakes cruise ship was docked for a Marquette excursion which was pretty cool. Reminded me of a big Boblo Boat with no pool or onboard activities like a standard cruise ship.

Little gem of a playground we always make a point to stop at when vacationing in the U.P. My kids (ages 1-15) all love this park and the views are to die for! Also incredibly convenient that there are functional bathrooms here (because no potty training toddler wants to have to leave the park!)

We enjoyed the easy docking for a 37-foot boat and the shore power. However locals consider this place the best swimming spot and people were diving into the water near our boat until 1 a.m. and laughing while they were doing it. For this reason I think I made a mistake tying up here.
