My family and I had a very disappointing stay at Marriott’s Imperial Palms Villas. Several staff members were unprofessional and rude, and there was clearly no proper training. We kept receiving conflicting information about basic things like towel service, which made the experience even more frustrating.
One staff member in particular — Matthew — stood out for all the wrong reasons. He was rude, not approachable, and made up his own rules. When we called the front desk, he was extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. It honestly made us feel very unwelcome.
The villa itself wasn’t clean or well-maintained — there was brown residue (possibly mold) near the bathroom vent, and the unit felt outdated. They also had cheap Cubie mini charging ports in the room that didn’t even work, which was a struggle for us during the entire trip.
Most upsetting, though, was how unaccommodating the resort was toward guests like us who are sensitive to smoke. My family and I can’t be around smoke due to health reasons — it makes us extremely sick — and we mentioned this. Yet, nothing was done to ensure we had a comfortable, smoke-free space. We felt completely dismissed.
Between the poor customer service, broken amenities, and serious communication issues, this stay fell far below Marriott standards. I would not recommend this...
Read moreHusband and I are on a business trip. We booked this conference last min. All convention rooms were sold out. We wanted to find the closest accommodations without sacrificing comfort. Not only are we actually closer to the Marriott Orlando World Convention center than those at the hotel, but we are more impressed with these rooms! The convenience is beyond. Full kitchen (totally stocked). Gorgeous balcony with lake views. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for less than the cramped hotel room we would have had! Beautiful grounds. Must have been remodeled recently because everything is perfect . Washer/dryer - new! Kitchen appliances and stocked utensils cookware - new. Check in was simple and the young woman checking us in was so pleasant. Overstocked with towels and linens and pillows. I literally have zero complaints. It has turned us into not only raving fans of this property but makes us want to check out more Marriott Vacay Properties. You have to be ok with no room service, irregular housekeeping (they said every other day - ok), very little toiletries and self parking . But the benefits that come with having so much space (I feel so guilty that one room isn’t being used at all!!) and the convenience of being able to make my own breakfast and snacks and cocktails has been awesome! We will...
Read moreThis was our first time staying at this Resort and we were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed at other Resorts on the same property and loved them so we opted to try this one for a last minute trip.
From the moment we arrived on property we were greeted by wonderful staff who had smiles on their face and answered all our questions regarding the property. We stayed in the 3-bedroom which was very spacious and we had an amazing view of the golf course, a pond, and the Orlando World Center Marriott.
During the day, we were able to see the hot air balloon from Disney Springs. At night, we were able to see and hear multiple sets of fireworks from the Disney theme parks. The property has multiple pools that were never packed, and you can also go over to the Orlando World Center to use their pools and a couple of their water slides (water park costs extra). There are tons of activities offered around the whole property, along with dining options.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will be...
