Today my daughter, her 2 friends and I went to the Millstone to see a movie. I accidentally left my debt card on the table, but I did have a $100 bill in my purse. We went to the concession stand where we were told to also purchase tickets. I ask for four 3-D movie tickets, four Large drinks, large popcorn and a nachos and cheese. Our total was $92 and some change. I Gave the girl $100 bill and she said that she could not take $100 bill. I said to her, it’s not like I’m buying a $10 movie ticket and want $90 in change back, the change you have to give me back is less than $10 and she told me no that they were not allowed to take $100 bills at all. I asked to speak to the manager because the guy behind the counter with the girl had already started making our stuff. I told the manager what happened with my debit card and told them I only had $100 bill were they really going to let me walk out and throw the stuff that I ordered away versus taking my money and he told me I’m sorry we don’t take $100 bills, so they threw the stuff away that they made and I left because they wouldn’t take my money. I am a business owner in Hope Mills and I would never treat my customers the way I was...
Read moreMy husband and I were looking into cheaper movie theatres and found this one. The theatre is in a nice area, the building is very clean and nice looking. I liked the entrance, I've only seen that kind of style (the ticket booth) in movies and shows. The whole experience was pretty cheap, we paid about $40 for the tickets, a large popcorn, two large Sodas, a pretzel, and nachos. I liked how you could just choose the seat you wanted and I appreciated that the movie started on time without 30 minutes worth of ads before it started, like AMC theatre's does. Another great bonus is the closed captions generator they had! I'm hard of hearing and I usually have issues watching movies without captions, I miss a lot of the plot. I tried their closed-captioning generators and it was amazing! Not only did it fit into the cup holder but instead of just taking up the cup holder, it has one attached to it so you can still put your drink in your spot. The captions lined up with the monologue and I loved how easy it was to adjust so I could have it in front of the screen and see what was happening still. I would highly recommend this theatre if you're looking for a cheap, high-quality place to...
Read moreWe decided to go see Thor: Love and Thunder last night because of the close proximity to our house. We went out to dinner and ice cream beforehand, so we didn’t get concessions this time.
It was our first time, so I’m not sure if all the rooms are like this, but the chairs sit tall and close together. It’s nice because you don’t have to worry about a tall person sitting in front of you and blocking the screen, but you are giving up leg room. My husband is tall and I have knee issues, so it was hard to sit for the longer movie with limited leg space. Fortunately, because the movie was out for a week, the theatre wasn’t full and we could turn sideways to extend our legs. I saw other folks resting their feet on the seats in front of them, but we had people in front of us. The chairs also lean back slightly, which is okay, but it wasn’t enough to avoid back pain.
Aside from this, the theatre seemed clean and the staff we interacted with were nice. The ticket booth was consistent and asked everyone if they were military so they could receive the discount if it applied.
I will update my review when we utilize concessions and possibly sit in a...
