The pros: Very close to downtown, the beach, clean, affordable, well maintained. The cons: (Let me preface by saying they are under new management so I don't know who is new on staff and who is from previous) Kind of started with never receiving a confirmation email even after calling about 4 times for one. Some may not care about receiving one, but I want to make sure the rate, site, days, etc. are accurate as to what I agreed to. Ok, so fine, I called again the morning of arrival to confirm again and all set. When I went to check-in, the woman in the office is "wearing" a mask but just can't seem to commit to it. Not one time that I saw her was she wearing it over her nose, so what is the point? I don't want to get into a debate about mask-wearing but if it is the mandate where you are working, then wear it correctly otherwise it is pointless. The spots are VERY close together! We have a 31ft 5th wheel, I always state 33 ft to make sure the spot is big enough with the slide-outs. Our spot was barely big enough and very challenging to back into (all sites are back in) We were fortunate enough to have nice neighbors who moved their vehicles so we could maneuver a bit easier. There was no space to put chairs or any sort of set up outside to relax. This wasn't true for other sites but definitely was the case with our spot. (22) If you have a very small rig, you could set something up. We found out 2 days after we arrived (from another camper) that you can leave a $75 deposit for a cable box. No one at the office notified me of this when I checked in. Ok, so I go to get one, and they aren't set up, waiting for someone to call to set them up, (no idea what that entails) whatever the excuse was. So, my partner goes back later on in the afternoon and the same story. She is not as patient or passive as I so wasn't buying it. She told them she is paying to stay there with their amenities and was going to wait, to call whoever they needed to figure it out. Ok, so we finally get it, now the issue is when I bring it back. I am returning it, my partner picked it up. Different women in the office this time but just as inefficient. I was asked where the bag was it came in. Sorry, my partner didn't put it back in the expensive ziplock they gave it to us in and then they could not find our deposit. They looked under her name, my name, first and last. They said they were going to have to call the no-nose mask woman because she took the deposit. I asked if they could work that out later and just give me the money back. No, no cash in the office so I have to wait and be inconvenienced. She comes in (fortunately she was very close by) and immediately retrieves it from the same index file they had been searching! I don't know if these women haven't been trained well or just not suitable for office and customer service-related work. They were pleasant enough, but you also felt a bit of an edge with interactions.
This campground is right across from the airport, so you will hear the planes. One morning, flights started around 7am so if you are planning on sleeping in, it's not happening. They didn't start this early every day but just be warned.
I wish this campground didn't cram you in just to get as much money as they can for their business. Some parts of the park were laid out a little better with more space, but they are definitely packing you in. And it all depends on what you are looking for. There is a community here of regulars and seasonal campers that really enjoy this campground and their friends. We like more privacy, space and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis "RV Resort" review is based on a one month stay in January on site #13: This park is located right next to Naples Airport - servicing commercial jets and small planes. There was traffic from 6am until midnight most every day - all day long. The noise was at times unbearable. Our site - #13 - was right next (within 20ft) of North Road and all that airport traffic. There were some trees and shrubs that bordered our site but it did nothing for noise control. Our camper is 31 ft long and it barely fit. Most sites you park your vehicle parallel to the road in front of your camper or on the concrete patio pad (which not only blocks any view but limits outdoor seating). Very tight. Our neighbors had to move their vehicles so we could leave. There is no overflow parking - several people parked on North Road. Only a portion of the "resort" is dog-friendly. You are told to cross the road (North Road) to walk your dog on the airport property. WiFi service was very limited and any antenna TV service was interrupted by airplane traffic. Cable was available but was not a very good picture. The "resort" amenities were standard: pool, laundry, library, clubhouse. Nothing special. The only bright spot was the location to the greenway with walking and bike paths. Even getting to the "great beach location" was a 20 minute drive. Overall I would suggest using your $1600 + fee for a better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI travel the country for work and live in my RV. I was in Naples looking at RV parks for my next work assignment. I pulled into Rock Creek to see what their accommodations were like. I pulled down a no outlet street. When I turned my vehicle around, a lady in a 2017 Nissan Aramada with Florida license plate GPJ-C40 blocked the street and opened her car door so I could not get past her. I found this to be extremely aggressive. She stood in front of her car motioning for me to get out of my car and come over to her. I rolled my window down and asked her to move her vehicle so I could leave. Her tone of voice and mannerisms were extremely aggressive. She stated she worked there and wanted to know why I was on their property. I once again asked her to move her vehicle saying I was no longer interested in staying at their RV Park. When I left Rock Creek to go to the next RV park on my list, she continued the harrassment by following behind me in her car. This is certainly no way to drum up business for an RV park that was at least half empty. If you are interested in renting RV spots, you should be open and welcoming to new clients. I can only imagine what it's like living there with her...
