Been here before and this theater was decent for the price. NOW, it seems it's gone DOWN HILL. Quality, movie operations and just plain nastiness inside the theaters. Had to up update on different occasions. Will continue to up date for the public. Please read below:
Initially gave one star!!! Update Dec. 23 2018: Went with the guys before Christmas to see Robin Hood. This place does need some major restoration inside. But, the low point was watching the movie and the sound cuts off in the middle of the action at the height of the movie for almost 5 Minutes!!!
People were clearly upset and yelling about the sound. It was funny to us but also very annoying. Not sure if we will come back to watch a movie here again. Yes the price and candy etc.. is cheaper here. BUT QUALITY shouln't have to be sacraficed!!!
Update: Dec 26th 2018, Ok, took the kids to see small foot just two days from seeing Robin Hood with a friend (bad review as well)
Talk about an EMBARRASSING MOMENT brought the family to this theater to see Small Foot and every other row had BIG TEARS in the bottom of the seats!! People were literally advoiding those rows. Can't blame them!! Then in the middle of the movie the HOUSE LIGHTS came ON for 4 minutes! SMDH SAD!!
This place is an Embarrassment to the East Cobb/Marietta area. The floors were filthy, sticky and smelled as we walked several rows to find five decent seats. Yes, the price to come see a movie here is only $2. But, sacraficing quality business operations and delivering a sound product really speaks volumes to your customers!! This is the WORST THEATER OPERATIONS in the Atlanta area bar none. Just nasty and filthy.
As a combat veteran and someone with corporate software experience, I am appalled at the operations this management team runs this theater. Either, assess your operations and FIX IT!! Or bring someone IN that will lead and run this place professionally!! If you need to charge $5 bucks then do it and restore the seat coverings and hire extra staff to monitor. If people are vandalizing theater property. Hire Cobb police like other theaters do! This is an embarrassing theater to say the least. If you need a real operations and management executive respond back. True believer in Action!!!! This community deserves better!!
UPDATE: Apr 17 2022
It's been a minute since my long review of this theater. Looks like they made some serious changes for the better and the staff is very attentive. The restoration of this theater is waaayyyy better as well. New seats vs the old torn seats that would stick you through your clothes. Overall a really better experience and budget friendly.
I will upgrade my stars.
Highly recommend to go back and see your...

TweetPin It customers enjoying a movie at the theater Bed bugs in movie theaters? Is anything sacred? Apparently not, when it comes to these frustrating bugs. Let's take a look at why movie theaters are becoming the new chomping ground for these blood-eating pests.
The common view of bed bugs is that they feed on us while we sleep--and only while we sleep. While it is true that bed bugs prefer to come out of hiding when carbon dioxide levels rise, and that this is usually when we're sleeping deeply, they can come out at any time. In fact, if we were to properly translate their scientific name, Cimex lectularius, we would more accurately call these pests "bed or couch bugs." Bed bugs can feed on us when we are fully awake and relaxing on a couch, or any other furniture we sit on. And movie theaters have lots of seats.
There are other conditions present in a movie theater that promote the infestation of bed bugs. Since we mentioned carbon dioxide, let's start with that one. When you fill a tiny room with a bunch of CO2 exhaling humans, the CO2 levels are going to rise. This may be one of the key reasons for the development of infestations. It is also dark in a movie theater, and bed bugs prefer to move under the cloak of darkness. But, more than anything else, there is food in movie theaters. No, we're not talking about popcorn and candy. Bed bugs eat blood. While you're enjoying your concession food, those bed bugs may be enjoying you. How do bed bugs get into movie theaters? These insects hitch a ride on people who have an infestation in their home. And, just as they hitchhiked in, they can hitchhike right back out on you, inside your belongings--or they can lay eggs on your belongings. Bed bug eggs do not need a mother to hatch once they get back to your home, so it is important to be on the lookout for tiny white eggs tucked away in seams, and to always wash your clothing on the hottest temperature.
So, should you avoid going to the movies? Absolutely not. Don't let those bed bugs control your life. Movie theaters are just one of many locations bed bug infestations are being found. You can get them at a library, a retail store, a daycare, a retirement home, at work, at friends' houses--do you see a trend here? You'd have to become a shut-in to avoid bringing bed bugs into your home. And, even then, someone else could bring them in.
You don't have to live in fear...

I took my family to the 11:45 AM showing of How to Train Your Dragon—a time I chose specifically because it’s more family-friendly and appropriate for younger children. We were a family of four, including my 4-year-old son who was excited to see a movie full of action and adventure.
While watching the movie, my son got excited during a few action-packed scenes—as any young child naturally would. He wasn’t running around the theater, he wasn’t kicking seats, and he wasn’t bothering other guests (there were maybe 15 people in total). He was simply enjoying the movie.
To my surprise, we were approached twice—once by a staff member and once by the general manager—and told to “keep it down.” This was incredibly disappointing, especially because my son was not being disruptive. In fact, I was thrilled that he could sit through a two-hour movie and be engaged.
Near the end of the film, we were approached again. My wife later called the theater to express our concerns. She reminded the manager that you never know what kind of disability a child might have, and that approaching families like this—especially in front of a child—can be hurtful and inconsiderate. The general manager admitted he wasn’t aware of any disability, which is exactly the point: you should be mindful before assuming or confronting.
We’ve been to other theaters—especially during high-energy movies like Avengers—and people cheer and get excited without issue. This theater clearly doesn’t welcome that kind of environment.
Bottom line: If you have a child who enjoys action movies and may get excited during key scenes, this is not the place to go. Instead of creating a welcoming environment for families, this theater chooses to single you out.
Also worth noting: the movie screen was blurry—which only added to the...
