Very unwelcoming environment, to start. The employees seemed bothered that I was there. I witnessed an associate treating a customer with such disrespect, I can only imagine it was a member of her family.
I brought in 3 bins of clothing, one of which contained 20+ pairs of pristine, high end jeans including a bunch of white denim, sizes ranging from 22-28. True Religion, Vince, J Brand, Hudson, Michael Kors, Robin's Jeans, even Versace. Some never worn! Pic below is just a few! The lady told me they were brand driven when buying, and I was hopeful as the sign behind the counter plainly STATED they were interested in purchasing denim, amongst other things. They didn't take any. I told the associate I had nice jeans I just wanted to get rid of...like for cheap..no offer made. If you don't want denim, don't say you do! Big waste of time.
What really bothered me however, is that my bins were returned to me and portions of the clothing had not been unfolded or even separated (I know because I painstakingly sorted, and meticulously folded it all the night before)
The store is flooded with clothing all the way to the sidewalk out front, and the associates don't seem to want anything to do with sellers. Would NOT recommend taking clothing here. : ( I used to...
Read moreHi! I love Plato’s and have visiting the store for many years but today I had the worst experience with one of the associates. She was in the closing shift, she was blonde and wearing a black crop top, i think she was wearing a braid. She was so rude all the time, it seems like she was upset because she wanted to leave. First, I heard that a customer came in to ask if they were still receiving clothes and she answered super rude to him. Then, when my friend and I were trying our clothes on she was upset because my friend tried too many pieces in the fitting room, my friend even put them in the table in a very organized way and she started mumbling things. Then, she didn’t even say “excuse me” when she was on our way with like a big cart, she almost ran into us! And when we were paying she was so rude and my friend gave her feedback and she rolled up eyes, started mumbling and in a such a bad mood she said “we have been here since 1pm”.
Right now it is 8:30pm and the advertising said that the store closes at 9pm, she was mad and the store was still open. Again, I’m a loyal customer to Plato’s and everyone is always super nice but this girl has made my...
Read moreRude staff and a huge waste of time. I brought in a beautiful selection of like new brand name clothes including Juicy Couture, Guess, Marciano, Hollister, Abercrombie, PINK by Victoria's Secret, etc in sizes S-M. They were all cleaned and folded nicely in department store bags when I submitted them to sell. After waiting more than an hour I went to the front desk and they handed me back all of my clothes wrinkled and thrown back into the bags which were torn. They did not accept a single item to purchase. I have been to many other Plato's Closet's and never had one item refused. I was told they had too much merchandise so they couldn't purchase anything. So why waste my time, wrinkle my clothes and ruin the bags then. These girls that I dealt with are so immature, and have no sales/ customer service experience whatsoever. The rap music was also blasting so loud I had to wait outside. Not a place I would recommend ever. The Plato's Closet chain should reevaluate this location.
To follow up I sold my clothes to another consignment store the next day for almost $100 dollars and was told they were trendy, pristine, and...
