I went in tonight to get my son his favorite meal, this time however the experience wasn't pleasant at all. For starters the "host" was on a deep conversation with someone in her ear piece so my service went like this, "hi, I placed an ord(speaking in her language). She goes, last 4 numbers of your phone? I said "531(speaks again in her language). She asked, what did you order? I said, "a habachi bowl with (speaks in her language AGAIN) She then tried to process my payment which I had part cash n part my card at this point she couldn't get it right when it was so simple to begin with had she been fully focused on what she was doing instead of the deep conversation she was having. Finally, I gave up and broke a 100 (which I didn't want to do) she gave me my change and still going strong with the conversation she was having before during and after my transaction. Honestly, I didn't realize this was part of customer service now, to be on the phone while attempting to assist customers. Last I checked I would have been fired but I guess times are different. Needless to say I did not leave a tip because she deserved nothing. Very disappointed in the service provided tonight hoping they rotate because this one doesn't belong behind the counter....

But for my son's birthday he requested to go to Hibachi of Japan and there really isn't enough room at that location for a large party. Honestly, I think this location is better than the one on Collier. It was certainly larger and had a much nicer interior decor... but the food was even slighty better. You really can't beat the price for the quality of food that you get at Hibachi of Japan. You basically get the same food as a fancy hibachi grill where they cook it right in front of you, but for a fraction of the price. I mean a California roll is $4!! A teriyaki chicken entree is like $8!...

On a friday night, we were seated almost instantly, the staff were foreign, but very pleasent, and the food came out at a very reasonable pace.
Onto the actual food, i ordered chicken udon, and i found it to be quite tasty. The only downside is that i felt that the chicken was slightly overcooked, which made it a bit chewy, but still delicious, as the udon amd vegetables picked up the slack.
After the udon, they are courteuous enough to put how much a tip is, which is a welcome change since i dont feel like doing high school math everytime i want to dine out.
In conclusion, I would reccomend eating here, especially if you have a date, as the foreign is both tasty and cheap, making it easy on the...
