While I typically enjoy this location, today was a different story. Yes, it is mother's Day and the restaurant was unusually busy however that does not excuse the lack of customer service and the quality of the food. We ordered online for pickup and were sent an email confirming a 50 minute pick up time. No problem. We arrived at the restaurant on time and when we asked for our order, we were told it would be an additional 10 minutes without them even checking the status of the order. Again, no problem. We waited 10 minutes and went back into the restaurant and once again they did not even check the status of the order and told us an additional 10 minutes. All of this time, others were receiving their orders right on time. I should probably add that when I entered the restaurant we were not greeted we basically had to flag down an employee to even be acknowledged. When our order was finally ready, the food was already cold and the order was not completely correct. No thank you, no have a nice day, just "Here". Instead of sending the food back or chatting with a manager about it, we decided to just take it home and deal with it. I once worked in the food service industry and I understand how hectic things can get when you are busier than anticipated but that does not excuse the lack of courtesy or service. The portions were much smaller than usual, and as I mentioned earlier, the food was already cold. It makes me wonder how long the food was ready before they bothered to bring it to the front. It's a shame because we live close by but it seems we will have to drive to a different location...
Read moreSo I come by this particular location of Skillets often. The food is always on point, hot and on time for pick up. That's important because I'm working and on the road alot and this location is in my direction. Now although the food is good, I found one very alarming occurrence every time i pick it up. Now I prepay through Google, and sometimes I leave a tip (although most people don't because it's just a to go order, and I usually dont) So this one particular time I came in to pick it up and had me sign a check, even though I already paid for it. So I left the TIP box empty. The short little waitress watches me, and then crumbles the paper and throws it away before I even turn away. Hmmmm interesting. I thought I'd test this out again, so ordered a TO GO item a few days later and again she watches me leave no tip. But I purposely did that because she was watching me. And as usual I said have a great day, and looked at me blankly and walked away. Read moreMy family and I have frequented this establishment for 15+ years. This last visit was extreamly disappointing. I have not yet decided wether we will be returning or not. To start off my entree was completely burnt. It appeared burnt and had that burnt flavor. Now, i had to wait about 5 minutes before I could address it with our server as she never asked us if we needed anything else before dropping our plates off and then just disappearing. Also, my 2 year old was having pancakes and it arrived without syrup or butter. Those 2 items are pancake basics. Again we had to wait 5 minutes to address as the waitress disappeared. Now I had a fusy toddler on my hands. Once addressed i received my meal in less than 1 minute. When it was placed in front of me you could tell that the burnt pieces were picked off and was "mixed around" a bit. Also, it was cold. So so disappointed. Waitress did not seem to care, she also made it feel like I was inconveniencing her because i was not pleased with my meal. It doesnt look like we will ever return. Truely...
